  1. hi all thanks for the info i think that the ECS is in the pipeline :p and yes i agree the J valve does run out to early power all used up by 4k hence all my questions , just trying to find the right one for me i think i should have gone ECS first time me thinks me J valve is going on ebay thanks for helping
  2. hi there all i have 3 questions about these valves ? 1 is the standard valve capable of revo stage 2 remap 2 what do other people think of the J valve what has it done for you 3 is the ECS race valve better than the J valve and why the reason i ask is that i am running the J valve at the moment on my octy vrs but i am thinking of upgradeing to the ECS race valve but i dont know wich is the best. the standard n75 is nice and smooth but feels like it is leaking on boost (car feels like its backing off) the n75 J is great but the acceleration is straight away and feels great but the boost is instant and i'm worried i may break something (but very smooth through the revs). i am hopeing that the ECS one is a bit smoother than the J valve on take off but simlar through the revs. any feedback will be helpfull
  3. i t is pretty straight forward but does take a bit of Patience to get everything lined up but great if you like jigsaws as it has no instructions i would also get some samco hose to fit on the boost pipe to DV and boost pipe to n75 valve although you can cut your own as i did as i had no option, did not realise i needed them i had mine on a 2 post ramp wich made things a load easier i would put a full day aside to do this mod one thing i will say it is well worth it the boost feels so different big thumbs up from me
  4. this is the exact one i have fitted to my car its mint other than i had to fabricate brackets for the mounting of the intercooler as the ones it came with were no use what so ever still cannot figure them out. see this linky mine is page 2 the red one near the bottom http://briskoda.net/...it-info-needed/
  5. just had mine out to do my 200cpi cat and the sensor with the larger holes in the end goes after the cat the one with the smaller holes goes infront of the cat nearer to the turbo hope this helps
  6. hi will get some pics today and post tonight if i can figure out how as i have not put a pic on here yet here are some pics of intercooler fitted well hope this has worked if not try this linky http://s718.photobucket.com/albums/ww186/cossie_1/skoda/ let me know what you think
  7. hi all just found this topic i. i have just fitted this one to my octy vrs http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/98-04-FMIC-SKODA-OCTAVIA-1-8T-INTERCOOLER-KIT_W0QQitemZ350315950042QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item5190752fda i can assure you it is a extremley tight fit it does touch things in places but yes they fit and this comes with the correct pipe for the boost sensor on the octy i should have took some pics whilst i was fitting but to be honnest i just wanted i fitted so i could get home as i took a holiday to fit it at work and i started at 8am and was finished for 4pm but i did have to fabricate some brackets for the intercooler as the ones i got with it i did not have any instructions and i have not got a clue how they go (still in the box now) i can say i noticed a instant improvement the boost was like a hammer hitting it felt solid boost no pipes expanding this is one of the best mods i have done to my car so far i would reccomend a front mount all day but give yourself plenty of time to fit it as its not as easy as it looks
  8. sat or sun for me i'm easy (apparently)
  9. na not me mine has headlamp brows and the chrome is painted on the front grill other than that it looks completely standard although i have seen a red one about with a black stripe in the middle of the bonnet half the width
  10. ya will have seen mine around i am over by newcomen school on the lakes est its the immaculate red one that wakes the dead (noisy git) and about to get a bit louder once i get my 200 cpi cat sorted .it gets the full works once a week Y743~~~ till i get me new plate will look out for ya give me a flash

  13. hi i got my remap done by alan in darlington it was a revo remap what he does not know isn't worth knowing he was fantastic here is his web site http://www.mk4golfcentre.co.uk/revo.htm and i would choose a remap over a tuning box any day
  14. hi all miles per gallon means nothing to me (who cares just fill it) all i look for is smiles per gallon
  15. hi i have just replaced my roll bar bushes with polly bushes and man that was the best thing i have ever done all my noises from the front have now gone it even stopped the brake judder i had. i would not advise the factory bushes as they did not last that long i got mine from here http://www.priracing.com/section.php/304/1/octavia-96---03 and they came very quick .
  16. drive it like you stole it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  17. hi all i get 28-33mpg on a 10 mile trip to work but when me lead boots are on i see about 12-15mpg but allot more interesting
  18. hi all i have a octy 1 vrs 2001 and the revo remap is a must when i bought the car it already had a map on it (not revo) and it was crap i thought the problem was with the car always going into limp mode . i was assured the map was good but after 6 months of replacing almost every pipe and connector i bit the bullet and took the car to revo they put the trial map stage 1 on and my car was instantly fixed so when the trial ran out i took the car back and paid to have it full time i have never looked back the car pulls like a train .i have since been back after doing more mods and had the map lifted to stage 2 and i would definitely would recommend this to anyone thinking of a remap . just one more thing i got a n75j valve and i found i had a 3psi boost increase and more aggressive acceleration well worth doing in my opinion. revo stage 2 piper cross pnl filter powerflow wake the dead cat back std cat forge adjustable split-r DV boost gauge in dash vent n75j valve 4 bar fpr modded boost pipes
  19. hi there many thanks for your friendly advice and help i will get a new sensor just to be safe i have cleared the code now ,will see if it comes back i dont think i have a vac or boost leak as my vac on idel is -27psi and i can hold a good 22psi i have also modded the boost pipe to pan pipe connection and pressure tested to 30psi no leaks it could be some crappy fuel and the weather :( . but hey thanks for the help and i am looking forward to going to a meet in the north east to see what everyone else has xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  20. hi there i am a newbee to this so here goes i have a octy vrs 2001 revo stage 2 ,piper cross pnl filter ,powerflow wake the dead cat back exhaust ,std cat ,forge ajustable split-r ,boost guage (running 22psi), i recently checked for fault code's on my car and it came up with the 00667 ambient air temp sensor problem can anyone help me locate the ambient temp sensor so i can replace it and part no if possible the reason i checked for code's is that my car seems a little lumpy on throttle till turbo kick's in now i know it's cold so its to be expected but would this 00667 cause the problem i guess if the car don't know how warm it is outside it don't know how to fuel properly anyway many thanks in advance
