  1. My Yeti has been sitting at the lease company for the last 2 weeks while they and my company make a complete shambles of the paperwork :-( I should have it tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest :-)
  2. I know this can be done on Audi's without having the memory function on the seats. You enable it with VCDS on the passenger door....something like this "Address 52: Door Elect, Pass." Then change byte 4, bit 3, I think its like 50 to 5C or 40 to 4C depending on if you have folding mirrors or not. You HAVE TO have the mirror knob selector turned to the passenger side for it work. Search google and you'll find a few guides. The memory function means you can set the position individually to your own requirements, without the memory function it goes to a default position which works fine when I tried it on my mates A4. I'll be trying it when I get my Yeti...which has been sitting in the lease companys yard for the last 2 weeks >:(
  3. Brilliant, thanks guys One other thing, I heard somewhere that some bulbs can't be replaced on the front....that can't be true??
  4. Would some kind soul do me a favour and list the type of each of the yeti's bulbs please?? I'm waiting on mine, should be here any day, but I want to order up some new bulbs for it as the original ones are too yellow for my liking. I took my bulbs from my Octy vRS before I sold it so I might have some of them already Just need the types not alternatives....there's already a thread for that Thanks
  5. In my 14 years of driving I've never had a puncture Plus the fact it's a company car so they'll be paying for any new tyres. I'll put up some pics when I get it.
  6. It's a company car so its the fleet company that ordered it. I believe it was through Autostation in Sandyford, thats where the usually get their VAG stuff. In fairness I'm not too worried about the wait....its been 4 months now so I can wait another week or two
  7. Well my Yeti is in the country (Ireland) and at the dealers apparently but I won't get my hands on it until probably the 2nd week in January as they won't have it registered and on nice 12-D-XXXX plates until then. They better not be ragging it about over Christmas or using it for test drives!
  8. Would someone with the Gobi interior do me a favour and put up a nice picture of the back seats....pretty please I've put a few (photoshopped) pictures together from here to show SWMBO what the inside of my her yeti will look like when if it arrives A nice open boot shot of the black pearl effect would be nice too, and maybe the front shot of yours Howser??
  9. In Ireland the specs are called, ACTIVE, ELEGANCE, EXPERIENCE The experience is leather as standard. I picked the Gobi interior with black floors As for the black roof, I got that by ordering the yeti in the black pearl effect colour Plus it means you won't notice that horrible gap between the front and back windows that people buy those plastic attachments to cover. That bit was probably the ugliest thing on the yeti.
  10. I've been playing with the amundsen for the last couple of days in my temporary car while I wait for the yeti (its a 2010 vw scirocco). I have to say I like it, the nav function is good. I haven't found the option to copy the maps from the CD to the SD but I'm sure its just a case of RTFM The SD/aux and other input slots work well. Very happy with it so far. Only annoying thing is that the car doesn't have bluetooth so I'm missing my old parrot mki9200.
  11. Ah so the dealer was telling the truth when he told me that a couple of weeks ago I posted it another thread somewhere I think the amundsen can have the maps copied from the CD to the SD card, but don't hold me to that, only what the dealer said.
  12. I'm about to order a Yeti for my new company car. Its a 1.6 TDI Greenline, Experience Spec...the highest we have here, in Pearl Black Metallic. Extras I've added are heated seats, Sunset tint, and heated washer nozzles. I know about the hassle of the Spare Tyre (less boot space and drop to the seats) and the no spare tyre (expense of replacing the tyre and gunge) but since its a company car they'll be paying for any new tyres I'm going for the Gobi leather interior with black floors and metal style trim (I hate fake wood). Delivery time is 12 weeks but the fleet company won't register it before start of 2012 as our cars are on a year numbered plate so registering a car in December is a bit silly! I've to sell my beloved Octavia Mk2 vRS 2.0TFSI :'( which I'm not looking forward to. I'm going to be way down on power....less than half of what I have now...but I'm willing to accept that as petrol costs are hitting €80 a week for me. Anyway I'll be popping in and out to checkout the Yeti section until I get it. PS...Oh one other thing I heard is that the Bolero may be replaced by the Amundsun before the end of the year due to shortages in the Bolero. I'm not too bothered which one I get. PPS...Is there a thread for any mods we can do with a VCDS yet?
  13. Edit: That folder and the parent folders are all unsecured. There's a load of information on the Yeti/Skoda there, interesting. I seriously doubt its meant to be on the internet in an unsecure directory.
  14. Sweet, do you know his name? Had he any more for sale?
  15. Haven't checked mine yet :S 2006 vrs with 88k km (54k miles) Should I be checking it or is it just on certain models? Anyone have a howto on it?
  16. Sorry Gadgetman I'm out. Just had a failure on my car, the oil pump just went, the no1 main bearing and loads of little bits of metal sitting in my sump, gonna cost me a bit to fix I think :( Need the money for the repair :(
  17. Good Idea Mike, I'm heading to a lad with a vagcom tomorrow so I'll get it done. I'd say it needs to be cleaned though, we've had some really sh*te weather here (Ireland) recently like ye lads and the problem only started after the thaw. I did a serious amount of driving in the snow/sleet.
  18. Anyone know how to remove the throttle body on the 2.0T FSI? I can't remove the pipe connecting to the bottom of it so I can access the 2 back screws as the pipe is too short to pull back. Its a piece of p*ss on the 1.8T but on the 2.0T they've put it between the intercooler and engine I'm having idle problems and the car has taken to revving itself.

  20. No thats a good price for PS2's but its still too much for someone who won't use them to their full potential They're 225/40/18 on the A3. She's got original RS6's on it, I must post up a pic so you can all cry when you see what she's done to the kerbside ones :rotz:
  21. Right here's the info on the G's 1Z2 857 521 G MIRROR GLASS (CONVEX) WITH CARRIER PLATE FOR REAR VIEW MIRROR, ELECTRICALLY OPERATED AND HEATED F 1Z-62124 377>>* F 1Z-68053 011>>* LEFT RHD 1Z2 857 521 G MIRROR GLASS (ASPHERICAL-WIDE ANGLE) WITH PLATE FOR REAR VIEW MIRROR, ELECTRICALLY OPERATED AND HEATED F 1Z-62124 377>>* F 1Z-68053 011>>* RIGHT RHD Anyone know what the "F 1Z-62124 377" (and the one after it) are? It doesn't seem to be a part number?
  22. Keith here are the part numbers, please check with the dealer before ordering though.... RHD Left Tint Mirror 1Z2 857 521 H RHD Right Tint Mirror 1Z2 857 522 H I also have the procedures for removing the wingmirrors/glass let me know if you need them. Just wondering though, the mirrors tint using some sort of electrical signal I assume, so will there be another type of connection needed? I've looked through ETKA and can't find a different type of connection, maybe its just a connection to an empty pin?? Edit: Just checked up the prices on those, they're €49.70 each, but there is a G part which is €199.00.....I'm not 100% on what the 1Z2 857 521G is?
  23. I ordered 2 for my wifes A3 from camskill yesterday and they've arrived already She's currently on Michelin Pilot Sport 2's but I ain't paying £122.38 per corner! Its only the 140 2.0TDI engine (which I still haven't remapped :thumbdwn:) so I think the Vredesteins are good enough for her and at £85 a corner you can't go wrong!! I'll deffo be putting these on my VRS when it needs them, the previous owner had it on cheapo Indian yokes that are lasting an eternity (2 months ) and they make a hell of a lot of noise :(
  24. I'm 30 and bought my TFSI vrs as a birthday present to myself. I'll have my 911 turbo before I'm 40 with possibly an S5 somewhere in between the 2.......Dream Big lads!!!
