Rear propshaft coupling
I had mine replaced about 30 000 miles after it was picked up during a Haldex service at a VAG independent. Same issue "cracked rubber" They laid it on thick about a possible MOT fail. I now think they were probably wrong and just after additional work. Luckily the warranty company picked it up. The mark up on the part was massive!

Also to add - sorry I couldn't help with your exact query and I have no affiliation with LLL parts (but have bought stuff from them a few times)

Agree on erWin (though I find it very hard to navigate). For parts diagrams (and parts to buy!) LLL parts is very comprehensive (interior comes under 'body') https://www.lllparts.co.uk/catalogs/skoda/CZ/SUP/851/8

Demister Flap Fan Motor Replacement
Hi, My superb has got stuck with air only coming out of the dash vents twice in the last few months - on all settings. This has resolved with resetting / recalibration of the flaps (holding auto and face vents for 30s or so). There is also a clicking noise when turning the demist setting off and on the demist flap output test on OBD11. I'm pretty sure this is a failing demist flap motor V107 (likely split casing) - the problem is I think this is dash out to replace on a RHD - which is beyond my skills and time available. Has anyone had the same problem? And does anyone have any idea how many hours labour for dash removal / replacement? Also wondering if any other maintenance would be great recommended while the dash is out eg the other HVAC motors? Thanks!

Bilstein B6
Unfortunately it's unlikely someone would try B6s and Koni Special active on the same car to give a direct comparison vs stock and everyone's perception of "firm" or "harsh" will be different. I got stuck in the same quandary deciding between the 2, went for B6 (non-BCC, stock springs) , no regrets. My thoughts from another thread for what it's worth. "I have B6s (though mine is not a sport line) on standard springs - chose these over the special actives because of the reliability concerns you mention. The B6s I would describe as firm but not harsh. I had a Octavia vRS before and I think my Superb now feels a bit firmer though it's hard to remember exactly. The wallowy feeling and pogo style bounce over speed bumps is gone and it feels much more stable 'making progress' on bumpy windy roads as well as less lean on roundabouts and slip roads. No complaints from wife or 4 year old and baby sleeps fine! I find the car much more enjoyable to drive and safer from being more stable." Good luck whatever you decide - I think both have their pros and cons but likely to improve the stock set up.

Superb Sportline shock replacement.
Mine is non-DCC so they are mono-tube. I'm certainly no engineer but suspect putting stiffer dampers on is a blunt instrument - it might be considered overdamped? However it works for me as described above and insurance company were fine with upgraded dampers but I suspect lowering on upgraded springs is more of an issue. There are also the mono-tube advantages (eg heat dissipation, less aeration and absorption of smaller inputs). I'd really like to try a set up properly optimised for UK roads one day, eg a Lotus or something Richard Parry-Jones was involved with. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Parry-Jones

Load Compensation - Suspension
Thank you for explaining and for your very helpful and in depth advice

Load Compensation - Suspension
Thanks everyone. Looks like the options are try and retrofit nivomat which looks like a goer except £1000+ with shocks and springs (and I'd have to lose the current B6 rear dampers) or try the higher load index springs which will cost about £150 plus positive reports above, and thanks for the advice to consider the front springs as well. I'm not too keen on the spring assister blocks (though thanks for the suggestion) and I don't think the rough road springs are compatible with the bilstein dampers.

Load Compensation - Suspension
Very interesting thanks, I wasn't aware of that and perhaps it may be possible to retrofit. There's also some good banter about managing kids in the car on long journeys on that Dutch thread.

Load Compensation - Suspension
Hi, Sorry another suspension question! I have a non-DCC Estate (2.0 TDI 190 4x4) with bilstein B6 shocks. When fully loaded eg with tow bar bike rack or full of camping gear the rear sags a bit. It's never caused any problems like grounding out or light steering but I'd like to sort it out. We're an active family of four often travelling with a decent amount of gear. The springs have 60k miles on them. My original plan was MAD helper springs, which I bought and are sitting in my garage but insurance company said no they wouldnt cover this modification. I could change insurers but that's a massive hassle. Alternative which is insurance friendly would be to use a spring with a higher weight range spec than the current springs. Mine is weight range 5 (I think 'N' springs from what I've read on here) - if I could work out what springs weight range 6 uses I could try those. My only concern is that this may make the ride too firm (compared to the progessive MAD springs) . I think cars with an oem towbar might have higher load springs. Does anyone have any experience or advice? Thanks As an aside I believe the mk3 superb Estate was originally planned to have self levelling suspension as standard - what a shame it didn't work out like that.

What kit comes as standard on 2017 Mk III 2.0L TDA SE L Executive model?
I'm pretty sure it applies automatically if you open the drivers door (or maybe turn engine off) . Never paid too much attention as mine is DSG.

Spec sheet says : Additional el. heating Without auxiliary heater/parking heater

What kit comes as standard on 2017 Mk III 2.0L TDA SE L Executive model?
My understanding is there is a small electric heater which the car automatically activates if its coldt- it just means the cabin warms up a bit quicker than a diesel otherwise would (helpful when the cabin on the estate is so huge!) The rest function uses residual heat in the engine (if required) and interior fan to maintain ventilation +/- heating for 30mins ish after the engine is turned off. Helpful if you are sat with a sleeping baby / toddler or want to keep the car warm / cool(er) while you pop out for a short while. Have had no problem with the ACC including from high speed cruise to stopping though instinctively in this situation you naturally brake yourself anyway. It's reassuring that you can feel through the pedal the car is often already braking before you are when this happens. Was a bit skeptical of the e-handbrake but it does create space in the centre console and has some useful features eg auto engage / disengage Best wishes

Glove box won't stay closed
Yes sounds like we can conclude whilst replacing the lid is not that difficult it won't fix the issue and some fiddling/silicone spray etc may help a bit for a while. "They all do that sir" Thanks for everyone's help!
