Changed my diesel filter (at 42k miles done) with VW filter and pre-filled with diesel, all went as expected and car started on the button, no leaks but, when i switched the the engine off i heard, from the filter area "pfft pfft pfft", like some sort of pressure relief/release? hadnt heard it before (but hadnt really listened for it) i had a short test drive, all seemed ok cheers

was gonna buy a 2017 DSG but youve put me off...lol

so the outside temp sender is working garage said they gassed the AC, its not leaking, but not working, blamed the pump (compressor) but at 11.5 degrees outside the vent temp was 7 degrees ant thoughts?

any updates? we have a B8 passat 1.6 diesel with same issue ( shows 10 degrees less than actual temperature )

My outside temperature is reading 8 degrees or more less than it actually is is this a sender fault or software issue?

Im chancing the oil/oil filter change, got oil/filter and extraction pump, seems straightforward but i need also to change the fuel filter, again not difficult but i read it can throw up an error code (due to low fuel?) is that always the case, does filling the filter holder lessen the risk? if it does show an error what can i take it off with/will it go into limp,etc? ive only a bluetooth adapter and Torque app

if the car starts and you hot swap whilst engine is running it do u still need to program the car?

6am, fired up on the button, 8am, hesitated on the startet position I remembered its done this before I feel a new ignition switch might be a good idea, looks easy to do too (and a starter relay)

just tried it and it was fine, then i held the key over and pushed the clutch pedal down, it fired up with a good 1.5" of travel left i noticed yesterday the stop/start didnt operate on the short outing, today it did but car got proper warmed up

I get the message no click (never have heard it but wouldnt if the starter kicked in maybe?}

Would this affect the stop start function?

Im thinking the clutch pedal sensor switch might be at fault?

Twice now (1st after stood for 2 weeks, today after 12 mile run yesterday) car did nothing when turning the key, all lights came on then off as normal. Clutch pressed, no clunk no drain on battery Locked car for a few minutes qnd tried again and it start

£90 inc vat for fitting the VW specialist next door told mechanic its an early one with "roll pins"............not sure what he meant job so far £145 seems ok tho wont use it ever again

Mechanic having issues, old unit shocked him with how it blew up I think he hates me
