  1. east coast run 31st march 2012 this is a run primaraly for mondeo st owners but every one is welcome regardless of make model. details at the moment are a little vauge as i still have to drive the route and get post codes mileage etc but what we do know is, sat 31st march meet at sandringham norfolk at the queens residence pe35 6eh ( well almost ) for 10.30am leave in convoy at 11am heading the 58 miles to cromer nr27 arrive at cromer roughly 1 - 1 1/2 hrs later 1 - 1 1/2 hours for lunch ( there is in cromer chips shops, subway, cafes, etc plenty for lunch) then for the hardcore amongst us we can then continue to yarmouth. i currently have 13 people lined up for this and would like the list to grow please add your name if you are interested.
  2. Is it the clutch or the brakes? Both smell the same!
  3. Are you sure the lcr arb is 23mm ? My old one had a 19mm one and the guys on cupra.net all use the r32 one as a upgrade.
  4. But where can you get a decent smic for good money without going to forge.
  5. well the brackets have been cut off and re-painted however i've not bolted it down yet due to it being a bit cold anyhow here is a photo of it in place and a photo of the part no.
  6. if they have a hole for the droplink to fit at the bottom of the spring cup then i cant see a problem.
  7. Ok so let pu it together Ko4-oo1 turbo Turbo back exhaust ( either decat or sport cat) Decent Intercooler Modded airbox or cai someone to map it properly Is this what is needed to run around 250bhp? Or is there anything else needed?
  8. thanks, don't you have to have a trade account with tps?
  9. this info is excatly what i have been looking for!!! so a ko4-001 will bolt straight on? im only looking for a safe 250bhp.
  10. will do soon, althought it fits i haven't painted it so until next sat it's not being fitted.
  11. Well after a bit of a search for strut braces it seems the s3 is the one to go for! However you have to buy these new as they hardly come up for sale second hand, so I did a bit of searching on the tt strut brace someone on here even asked if they fit and the general answer was they look the same but have 2 extra brackets and no one could give a 100% yes they fit. Well I can knowing that it was steel and I can weld I bought one on the pretense that if it didn't fit then I could chop and re weld it but it fits and you don't even have to chop the extra brackets off ( although I will for a neater job) and it cost under £30 just got to get the lower one now. Just thought I would share and give a 100% it fits!!
  12. yeah i don't like the twin either thats why i asked! my old one had the same shape but slightly upswept.
  13. i see your point in everything you say billy and the more i see your car the more i like it with the lcr wheels on. and lsd along with a rarb will be the first things i do.
  14. oh i forgot you would want a standard exhaust, i would want to keep my standard one would that be a problem?
  15. Mine was 6 speed but a tdci! Give me a shout about the exhaust.
  16. Good man got my focus brakes for £130!! So is it the boring blue? Edit just noticed the red leather so black it is?
  17. i wouldn't change the wheels from standard as the ride is what i like about the car if i start changing that about then i might not like it as much.
  18. yeah thanks mate, seen the one on 38 but haven't got the funds handy at the mo, spring would of been ideal.
  19. i agree with you there, i have had loads of cars since i sold my first one and i haven't had a car like the vrs hence why im now back in one.
  20. good cars, brakes are seriously lacking though and late production means £400+ tax i had a diesel one.
