  1. Great that you found some good info! Andy welcome!
  2. One of the cars I test drove before I got the Octy was a Mondeo 2.0 tdci. The drive was OK but the build was terrible! Everything looked nice but felt like it was going to fall off at any time. Plus, it's a Ford! 'Nuff said The drive on the Octy was far superior
  3. Thanks Carl The flashing starts on one light no matter what - it was like a strobe while I was driving down the road to the point I turned them off and put fogs and sidelights on. A few have assured me it is just a faulty ballast. The other light was rock steady and looked great when driving - but didnt really get that much chance to see what they were like - I am sure i will next week Andy
  4. OK ill check with them about the corrector but I get the feeling its an all in one kit but I get no OBC errors so no need to have the capacitor but thanks for checking Andy
  5. 35 seems very high - I use 2 & 2.1 bar on mine
  6. I cant see me moving away from Diesel - the engines are incredibly economical and versitile. I have the vRS and can quite happily manage 55mpg on a round trip from Warrington to Burton on Trent. After 340miles, I haven't quiet gone through half a tank!
  7. Both sides have only 2 visible parts. The bulb with cables connected then the ballast with cables. I am pretty sure it is just the ballast because if I change sides with it, it makes the other bulb flash. I have mailed them but will call them tomorrow to get a replacement arranged.
  8. I am just hoping that the support from www.hids-direct.co.uk is OK!
  9. OK so I got the HID kit fitted but the second one i fitted doesn't work properly. When you switch on the engine, the right one fires up no problem. However, the left one starts to fire up then starts flashing. However, if i switch the lights on and let them warm up before switching the engine on, it appears to work just fine! I have tried swapping them and then it does it to the other bulb. Anything I can try or it one of them just faulty? Andy

  14. Seen these before with just a hole cut in the mesh for the lever to come through - Not too bad if you are painting it black, but loots terrible in silver!

  18. Plus, you only need to be going up a slight incline and that can be enough to dazzle. Looking forward to seeing what the outcome of mine will be
  19. I have used them a fair bit at the point were this has happened, but just not hard - its almost like they are bedding in, but I can see no note that they have been changed
