I had a classic MY 99 no engine mods. loved it and miss it dearly. Fuel mid 20s in teens if you got excited. It went were you pointed it made a average driver feel like a pro. Also the older ones sounded nice and had the flat four Burble. Insurance for an Old guy like me was around the 300 mark with Spouse fully comp.

Is this right should the light come on its a 2.0 VRS CR170 TDI 58 plate showing 49573 miles. If yes is it just a Oil and Filter change. Also think the Cam belt must be getting to its term. Thanks in advance

There are loads of stories of turbo's going. Some are standard, lightly modified and heavily. It's a pot luck.

Your partially right. 300lbs is generally considered to be the max torque a stock clutch will take. However with all cars, some can manage more, others less. All depends on how it's driven and looked after. In regards to moving to a 5sp box, never heard that personally.
