  1. My issue of constantly asking for the S-PIN and then hanging the system seems to have magically fixed itself. Suspect it was a backend server issue all along, and the deleting accounts, factory resets were a waste of time.
  2. Well this means that first set rattled, replacement set now rattling. Assume a third set I’ll do too 😩
  3. @ZacDaMan72Ahhh... got it. The pads the car came with never rattled, only these new ones (not from Skoda as to was vastly more expensive) which I can't imagine are made to the same tolerances. ETB have said that they have not had other Kodiaq's they've used the same Doscs and pads on rattle. I have no reason to think they are lying. I personally think my dealer needs to investigate more closely. The clunk/rattle sound is louder toward the centre of the car and if the other wheel hits something I can cause a less loud more muted rattle as I believe its shaking the left side too where the issue lies. This makes me think even more its suspension related not brakes.
  4. Hi Zac, thanks for the info. The front pads they showed me look nothing like this, but more like this:
  5. Thanks Mike. Very helpful 👍🏼 Have asked my dealer to do a proper check at the next service along with other components.
  6. They assure me they are correct and it’s what their supplier has on their system. Skoda dealer says I should have had official Skoda parts fitted (well they would at their prices). As a non expert I have no idea if they are.
  7. Hi, anyone experienced this or have any insight? Had my brakes and discs replaced by a local ETB (Skoda was nearly double the cost) and all was OK for while until I started to hear a clunking from under the car on the front nearside when going over most (but not all) bumps. I don't get this clunking from any other wheels that I can tell. My Skoda dealer took a look at the suspension but they found nothing amiss, but they suggested the non original brake pads were not tight and were moving in the holders slightly causing the clunking. Back to ETB and they found one of the spring clips (these are part of the pads) was compressed so they swapped it out. Clunking went, but has now returned. They said they have never had this issue on other Kodiaq's they've done - I have no reason to doubt this. If I brake whilst going over bumps that I know cause the clunking, the noise doesn't happen, so I am assuming it's still brake related. Are there any other parts under there that would be held firm whilst braking that could be the culprit? Not a mechanic so have no idea really. Google (always dangerous) suggests it maybe: It's your brake pads moving around in the callipers because you have no shim kit. Touching the brakes makes the rattle go away, that's how you know it's your pads Ball Joint Tie bar Sway bar So, if not the brakes then I need to go back to Skoda and get them to look again armed with a bit more knowledge. Kinda stuck between ETB and Skoda for a resolution right now - ETB are being very good at helping so I will take one of their guys out on a test drive to see if it sheds anymore light on the culprit. Any thoughts are much appreciated.
  8. Annoying, but hey. Will stick with the way it is. No apology needed mate. Send device back for a refund from Amazon (which was accepted) and cancelled the subscription before I was charged.
  9. Well I meant it in the loosest of terms Anyway, I’m not messing anymore. Refunds in progress. Will put up with the Kodiaq’s lazy throttle for a year before it goes back.
  10. Oh! Well that’s confusing indeed then 😬 Will leave the car hacking to others I think.
  11. Confused, what has power steering to do with the throttle setting?
  12. Thanks for the insight. Mine has the older style steering wheel, CD player, and USB-A only socket. It made a difference in quite a negative way for me, so certainly changed things. Getting a refund from Amazon and have cancelled the subscription, so not out of pocket.
  13. Well. Bought the Carista. Changed the setting. For me it’s made things even less responsive not more. Slower to pick up pace and more hesitant to kick down - Sport also feels less responsive. So changed setting back again.
  14. Will do. Will. Any of the changes cause warranty or insurance issues? I guess if they are accessible and are the manufacturers own settings (that are just hidden or disabled), then only warranty would potentially be an issue.
  15. Many thanks @CainDingle! Much appreciated. Will check it out.
  16. Thanks @silver1011, I think this is the case. The previous owner must have used something on them or took it to a dodgy car wash place. Discs now replaced and they don't rust up nearly as much as the old set. Thanks @BRUN, discs now replaced and they don't rust up nearly as much as the old set.
  17. I certainly think the current Sportline trim looks more interesting than this new one. To be it has echos of VW's ID range, a bit blobby and to my eyes blander than the current one. Not sure I'll move to this after my lease is up on my Sportline. May go back to bigger boxier cars like the new 2024 Land Cruiser. We got the Kodiaq soon after the pandemic and had little choice on cars due to crazy delivery times. We wanted a bigger, higher riding and more practical car that had four wheel drive for the roads and lanes around here. Its done its job to be fair, but time to move on next year at some point I think.
  18. Agreed. Mine is still asking for the damn PIN at startup. So I now just tap to cancel this. Skoda Connect still works and logs my journeys, location, allows me to lock/unlock car... so its either actually logged in or its highly insecure and allows me to use it without being logged in...
  19. It's crazy unreliable.
  20. Any recommendations for an OBD11 device and rough costs? If I can change my throttle to react properly, it would make owning my Kodiaq far more pleasurable.
  21. Had these push to change function dials in my Discovery 5 and then Velar. Velar had more functions like Terrain Response modes, heated / cooled seat switch on and change temperature. They worked very intuitively once used to them. After a short while the push and rotate click haptics sequence is easily countable so you could change a setting / function without even looking. Ironically they got rid of the in the latest MY and went fully touch screen… a backwards step as now you have to look and aim your finger at the screen. Good to see the new gear selector stalk has a simple push up for Sport mode. I’m always flicking that on when I leave town and off when entering town.
  22. Fresh new article on Motor1 today showcasing the new interiors. IMO these look amazing. https://uk.motor1.com/news/683997/2024-skoda-superb-kodiaq-interior-revealed/ Skoda Media articles and image PDF's here: https://skodamedia.com/en-gb/releases/1431
  23. That is a low mileage! Booked for discs/pads all round with free pad replacement for the life of the discs at ETB - £439 all in.
