New discs and pads
@Manc-FletchWhat are Pagid discs? They a better brand than the ones Skoda would fit (not that I'd pay their higher fees).

SIM CARD
I have a SIM… in the unit in the glove box for the reason that it’s needed for Connected Services @linni in my MY20 Kodiaq Sportline Anyway……

SIM CARD
Well, no idea then mate. All I know is without the SIM, my 20MY Kodiaq doesn’t use the connected infotainment. Map updates i do via USB. It’s never found map updates OTA from the car.

SIM CARD
This is what the Skoda tech told me some time ago, so I bought a SIM and inserted into the unit in the glove box. The activated the Infotainment Online to access News, Weather etc.

Completely factory reset Kodiaq MY20 Sportline & Remove Main User
All done. Recent the ECU and managed to re-setup the Main User again. All working, can see my car again in the App and web. Didn't take long in the end so not as drastic as what they needed to do with your car @Techguy.

New discs and pads
at 31K miles my pads are 70% worn and discs showing 'slight corrosion' on the rear. Want £696.56 to do the pads!

SIM CARD
Skoda Connected Services / Infotainment Online - Weather, News, Map Updates, online search etc use the customer installed data SIM. Skoda Care Connect, Assistance and SOS etc use the built in SIM. No idea why an engineer would remove the SIM unless it was to test something or to avoid using the customers data without permission?

Completely factory reset Kodiaq MY20 Sportline & Remove Main User
Thx mate, as I suspected, a total reload of the infotainment system... better remember to take both keys if this is what they do. Cheers and happy to hear you are all fixed finally.

Completely factory reset Kodiaq MY20 Sportline & Remove Main User
I used a different email when I setup a new account after deleting the old one. Still have the same issue. The car is not aware of any changes and isn’t connected/connecting to Škoda Care Connect.

Completely factory reset Kodiaq MY20 Sportline & Remove Main User
@TechguyBooked into dealer next Friday for the day. Will let you know what happens. They have logged into the back end with my credentials and see the car needs to finish activation after the new account ctreation, but I don't have the activation screen appear in the car (only the S-PIN request that fails each time). So I guess they will wipe its brains and see if that works and gets it talking to Skoda servers again.

Completely factory reset Kodiaq MY20 Sportline & Remove Main User
Yeah mine started week of 19th June, worked again for a few days the following weekend and has since refused to accept my S-PIN, thus the factory restore advised by Skoda tech and then delete/re-create account as suggested by my dealer. Still same. asking for my S-PIN. This issue must be very rare as I don't see anyone else highlighting the issue here. I suspect the whole day will be needed so they can wipe and reinstall the infotainment system to see if that works. BTW - saw your post about this too.

Completely factory reset Kodiaq MY20 Sportline & Remove Main User
Hi I have been having big issues with Care Connect on my MY20 Kodiaq Sportline. Connected Services (weather etc all work fine). Dealer suggested deleting my user and recreating it again. Skoda suggested a factory reset on the infotainment system... neither seemed to have worked. I transferred ownership to me (from me) by deleting my existing account (at the time I got the car it was a VW ID still) and setting up a new (now) Skoda ID. Now I have a new activation code needing to be entered into the car... all as normal so far. BUT, the damn car still keeps asking for an S-PIN that hasn't worked for ages, and refuses to let me delete the Main User to Transfer Ownership on the infotainment screen. It's obviously not talking to the Skoda servers and still thinks its the old me. How do I zero down the whole system including the Main User? The factory reset doesn't do this. All it did was reset all the cars settings (which It would of course). My hope its that the car will then after logging in with my new S-PIN, present me with the activation code entry screen so I can finally after a month re-connect my car to Skoda Care Connect. Hope I am explaining this right. Want to avoid taking a 1/2 day off work to sit at the dealers while they fiddle with it. (maybe @varooom knows how?) Thanks in advance for any advice.

Skoda Connect.
Having the same issues, dealer says there are system issues (Skoda server backend), but I don't see many complaints here on the forum so it must be a very selective issue. For nearly a month now the car has refused to accept my S-PIN (suddenly started asking for it at every startup), can't delete main user (so cannot reset anything), tried a factory reset but that doesn't seem to wipe the Skoda Connect / Care Connect info. Now the Kodiak is apparently not activated - but I cannot activate as the car thinks it is!! Pretty rubbish considering this is a paid for service. Skoda Connect works fine, can get weather etc so I know I have data available.

Car constantly asking for S-PIN - but fails to connect
Car is listed under my Avatar... has latest software on the infotainment. Spoke to my dealer and there are a lot of back end issues with Skoda's services right now affecting random owners. Seems I am one.

Car constantly asking for S-PIN - but fails to connect
Hi, the mobile data signal is fine where we are, has worked well until a few days ago at home and also while away last week. Again, mobile signal was better where we stayed than at home. Services like news, weather etc all work perfectly well using the SIM I added for the infotainment services. The S-PIN issue appeared last week, started working for a day and has not stopped again so last update from the car was on 24th June and shows doors and windows open, range before I filled up with fuel etc. Skoda want me to factory reset the infotainment and then connect the car to a mobile hotspot to set it up again... which makes no sense as the Care Connect will use the cars built in SIM/eSIM and not the one I added to the slot in the glove box. Also I can find no way to connect to my mobile hotspot as WLAN says its already connected...

Car constantly asking for S-PIN - but fails to connect
And it's not working again. Car asks for S-PIN at each start up. If entered, it sits for ages and finally says 'Cannot Connect'. Have to Gard reset entertainment system. Skoda Connect website says last update 44 hours ago. Phone app also fails to get an accurate update... of course if the car isn't connected then they won't. Not sure of this is a server error or hardware/software issue with the car now.

Car constantly asking for S-PIN - but fails to connect
And now since last night Skoda Connect / Care now works again. Must have been the server issues mentioned here:
-
Car constantly asking for S-PIN - but fails to connect
Be good to get rid of this S-PIN issue each time I start the car.

Car constantly asking for S-PIN - but fails to connect
Since yesterday my Kodiaq has been asking for my S-PIN when the touch screen launches. Enter PIN and it just sits there for ages then fails to connect. Have to hard reset the system (hold power for a while until it reboots) to get back to the S-PIN request again. Able to tap back button and use system. Connect Services work fine. Open App on phone and it says ‘Missing Data’ and fails to load my cars into. Also says a server error… but not all the time. Anybody else having this issue?
