Fuel Gauge Sender is kaput- Does anyone have a part number?
I filled the tank and managed to get 58 litres in on the first click. So if the 4x4 tank holds 65 litres, that means the trip computer and fuel gauge is definitely still over reading by some margin. I had the RHS pump out the other day but when I saw the extra pipework disappearing off to the 2nd off take I admitted defeat and put it all back without any further tinkering. I have a service coming up so I might just get the readers replaced at the same time….

Refuelling time. I couldn’t remember if I reset the trip when I last filled up, but the car was showing 160 miles left in the tank, and the refuelling quantity was showing 35 litres.

Max roof bar width for estate
I had 135s on my V70, they didn’t fit the Superb as the width between the rear bars is bigger than the minimum width on the bars. 127s, are fine, they hang over enough to get 4 kayaks on but you don’t brain yourself getting out of the car.

Position of and method of attaching rear dash cam on Superb h/back
I routed mine (estate) via the wiring loom & rubber gaiter. I didn’t want anything hanging down if I’m shoving stuff in back door (no pun intended). It’s tricky getting the usb socket through the gaiter, and getting the trim back on the tailgate but it’s doable and a nice neat solution.

Fuel Gauge Sender is kaput- Does anyone have a part number?
So with no other option I hooked everything up again and gave both pumps a good wallop with a rubber mallet. That resulted in this: I don’t know if that’s freed something off, gauge is still reading full but I’ll see if it moves at all next time I use the car.

Fuel Gauge Sender is kaput- Does anyone have a part number?
Got the RHS side tank open, realised it was fuller than I thought and quickly sealed it up again while petrol ****ed all over the driveway. That resulted in another code which I cleared.

Fuel Gauge Sender is kaput- Does anyone have a part number?
Bit of an update. Got my hands on a VCDS cable. Managed to get my road signs activated & change my throttle pedal to Audi to make it work so the car goes forward when you press it, cleared all the codes from where the battery went flat & did a couple of other bits. Then turned my attention to the fuel tank. Here’s what the gauges were reading beforehand.

Fuel Gauge Sender is kaput- Does anyone have a part number?
Thanks for the replies so far. It is a 4wd so will have a saddle tank, I notice from the diagrams it also has two floats, I wonder if they both feed the gauge or of one just triggers the transfer pump…?

Fuel Gauge Sender is kaput- Does anyone have a part number?
Hi all, The other day I ground to a halt (on a busy motorway junction) with 100 miles left on the fuel gauge and none in the tank, and after filling the tank and driving another 100ish miles the tank is indicating full, the level hasn't moved leading me to believe it has a fuel gauge sender issue. It's always been accurate but after the recent spell of hot weather the gauge has stopped working. Would anyone be able to advise the correct part number so I can research replacements? Or let me know if there's an online resource where I can do it myself? The VIN is: <Removed> Please use do not post your VIN or reg number on the public forums, as data scraping may use this information for vehicle cloning or other activities. Rear Washer Leak Through Tailgate
Because I’m always very grateful to find answers to car issues on the net, allowing me to fix them myself… A couple of times recently my ‘door open indicator’ started to go crazy, beeping constantly, and I could hear the rear latch cycling. Upon opening the tailgate I found washer fluid leaking through the latch mechanism. On taking off the rear panel I found a squirter jet flapping about. (No photo sorry) As mentioned above the reversing camera has a washer which protrudes slightly from the rear tailgate release. It looks like the nozzle had been pushed in, probably by someone over enthusistically hunting for the button. All I needed to do was clip it back in the hole… And secure the pipe with a zip tie to hopefully stop it happening again. Hopefully that’ll sort the issue….

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Fantastic! I’ve done the trip twice, once in 98 and again in 2018. 2nd time was in a motorhome, we had a few close calls with width but at least it had aircon that time…. I hope you had an amazing trip!

What have you done to your Superb III today?
It was the front near side. I was the same and bought the car last summer with an advisory of misting on both fronts, so I was expecting it. When I had the car serviced the local dealer (VW, but have just become Skoda approved) flagged it as a definite mot failure (due in may)but not bad enough to be covered under warranty🤔 So I took it up the road to another, let’s say more established and old school Skoda dealership and they replaced it all FOC with no mucking about.

Had a new DCC shock replaced under warranty, I wonder if the other side will go before the warranty expires🤔

Skoda Clacton on Sea
I’ve just been to Underwoods in Clacton. They replaced one of my DCC shocks under warranty. It’s the first time I’ve used them having bought the car approved used in the midlands, and having been very disillusioned with the shiny VW place in Colchester which has just started doing Skodas. No frills, no issues, no BS. Would recommend.

What bulbs are fitted to the S3 & upgraded bulb recommendations
Hi folks, I’m sorry if this has already been covered. Has anyone had any issues with warranty or MOTs after fitting upgraded reverse light bulbs? I don’t know if it’s the weather, my eyesight or the fact that the car is longer than a supertanker, but I’m really struggling to reverse safely at the moment. I’m pondering whether to go with upgraded halogen or bite the bullet and fit LEDs.

Superb MKIII owners register
Hi folks, Here’s our new family fun bus. It’s a 2019 L&K 272 TSi. I haven’t really had a chance to tinker with it yet but initial impressions are all good. It needs to go into the bodyshop for a spot if rust under the tailgate glass, I don’t know if that’s a common issue? But we have a holiday in France to contend with first so I’m looking forward to doing some miles and getting to know the car.
