  1. Hi Moggo, thought I'd add to this post as I had the same problem and this is the first post that popped up in a search. My heavy footed kids managed to damage a couple of the louvres on the rear heater vent of our Yeti. I simply popped it out with a couple of plastic bike tyre levers, you could use proper trim removal tools but tyre levers do exactly the same job without marking the plastic. It's held in by two plastic clips on either side and just pops straight out. if, like mine the louvres have just been displaced, you can prise the fascia off the body of the vent assembly by working your way around it with a small slot head screwdriver, re-seat the louvre pins in their guide holes, snap the whole thing back together and pop in back from whence it came, the whole process takes about 5 minutes. Hope this helps, it seems like this is quite a common issue. Cheers Dave Before: After:
  2. Various things affect the performance such as: Weight of passengers Quality of fuel Ambient conditions/air temp. The smaller the engine the more noticeable (in theory) the effects should be.
  3. Well, thanks to Nuriyan (Justin) who is one of the selfless individuals listed elsewhere on this site who offer coding help, my car now has an Aussie accent & a nice big MPH display. So another massive thank you to Justin who is both a gentleman & a scholar!
  4. Are there any warranty implications from making this switch? Say, for instance, someone not a million miles away had just leased a Yeti and wanted to activate this option...
  5. It'd certainly explain the recent deals that various brokers have been offering, I liked them so much I got my dealer to price match Simpsons & ordered a new one on a lease contract, should be ready mid-April although I wouldn't imagine they're going to throw any free goodies my way.
  6. Thanks chaps, Another question, what's MAXIDOT and why do people like it so much? Cheers Dave
  7. Hi folks, I shall be doing some serious reading on this forum in the days ahead as I'm looking to move from my 330d to an Octavia vRS in the next few months. I'm looking at an estate with the CR tdi engine , with that in mind are there any must haves with regards to spec, extras etc? As far as I know ISOFIX is standard, Xenons would be nice and parking sensors are essential as I've lost the art of reversing in the beemer, and I'd want ipod connectivity and Bluetooth, can any of these be retrofitted? Anyway HI! No doubt I'll be on here quite a bit from now on. Cheers Dave
