Blimey, the 'ventectomy' operation was an absolute doddle of a job to do. Less than 30 minutes start to finish including taking pix of every stage and cleaning all the muck and cobwebs out from behind the rubber seal. Thanks for the tip lads!

Sorry for my newbie ignorance but I have this problem too (since new) and dealer is unable to fix it. I have searched the forum but so far haven't found any pix of this modded gasket. To be honest I would prefer to remove the EGR from the map and blank off but I am not sure where to look or what needs replacing. Any help much appreciated.

Hi All, I found this forum while searching Google for tank mods as I occasionally do very long trips and want to avoid stopping for diesel (as it's so expensive in the UK and continent !!). I plan to use the tips in this thread for a trip I am doing later this month but PLEASE can I ask you to be really careful not to overfill your tanks as spilled diesel can be a killer for bikers. I have a 12" scar up my leg/groin area due to hitting armco after slipping on a patch of diesel about 18 months ago entering the M4 at J7...Nasty. Bike was a mess but luckily no serious harm done and crown jewels left intact (just). Thanks fellers. Cheers Rick

Hello all, I'm pleased to have discovered this forum. After 3 years of minor niggles with my 2007 Fabia vRS I think I have learned more in a few days browsing here than 3 years asking dealers what's what! Looking for a way to get rid of the stutter around 1800 - 2300 rpm. Have seen a couple of threads but got confused as to how to fix it. Any advice appreciated. Hope to make the acquaintance of many on here shortly. Cheers Rick
