  3. The Rear Spoiler is standard black plastic, so went to a body repair shop and had it sprayed together with some other parts. Macdemon, already complained to my dealer, but regretfully there is nothing they can do.
  4. It hasn't rained that much lately in the Netherlands, but I did notice some improvement. In my case it was a cosmetic upgrade, if it helps keeping the rear windows at bit cleaner than this is a bonus.

  11. Today I visited my local Skoda dealer for two software update requests. 1 - Rain sensor activation. 2 - Bolero Firmware. the first update took about 3 minutes, now the interval will be controlled by the amount of rain recorded by the sensor on the windshield. the second update was almost 50 minutes (don't ask me why it takes so long) the update is done online, so assume the speed of the internet connection link might be the reason. anyway after the update all Bolero settings are blanc, so you need to re-programme the radio stations etc. now the actual test, I inserted the 8gb SD card, and bang instantly the first track started playing. So far I had been using the programme from Danishviking which works perfectly on the Bolero, but now I have the updated Bolero responding promptly as it should have in the first instance. Danishviking thank you kindly for your programme, I used it 10 months in a row. So concluding you need to convince your dealer to hook up your Car to the Skoda computer to allow the Firmware Update ( I believe the latest Bolero firmware is 054)
  12. Today during a visit to my dealer to pick up an item, I again reverted to the Bolero Sofware Update. Unfortunately their was no time to hook up my Yeti to the computer. But the Service manager re-confirmed that they checked with Skoda but that there is no SW update available? Very strange indeed. Awaiting further feedback of Skoda Bolero UK owners on this subject. thanks.
  13. I already suggested same, but so far I have not been able to convince the dealer.
  14. just received an e-mail recomfirming that according to my dealer there is no software update yet available for the Skoda Yeti - Bolero????? Honestly speaking I'm not convinced that every effort has been undertaken to further investigate this request. they remained with the remakr "we will keep you updated"
  15. Raglist, anxiously awaiting your feedback. contacted the Importer in Holland in respect to new software for the Bolero, got a rely that my quesiton was forwarded ot their technical dept. sofar no reply yet. it seem to be easier to land on the Moon than to get a confirmation whether an simple update is available. rgds.
  16. just back for one week in East Sussex, seen one Yeti (my own)
  17. in otherwords the update is in the system, but the dealer are not ware of same yet?
  18. @pickings01 - contacted my local dealer here in Holland in respect to the software update for the Bolero radio unit. They just came back advising "there is no update available yet"? would you kindly check with your dealer and have them confirm the update number and release date. If use the programme from Danishviking which is a huge improvement, but if Skoda/Vag have meanwhile released an sw update than I would like to have this loaded into my Bolero. thanks kindly. nb.: I have A Yeti
  19. Mike is right each time when you re-open the door de seat is set automatically to max 102 d.g. since the is the max allowed electronic setting. when you store your setting to eg. set 1 this setting is than also stored on your key. it is not possible to store beyond 102 d.g. in both the chair and key setting. in my case I'm manually adjusting the back rest each and every time, meanwhile got use to it but would have prefered a higher setting to avoid the manual intervention. still not happy with this so I'm closely monitoring various Skoda and Vag forums and hope a software update will be released soon. rgds.
  20. A couple of months ago we had a Skoda meeting / day for all Dutch and Belgium owners. I met a Skoda mechanic who confirmed that an Suberb owner had also complained about the max electronic settings. According to the mechanic only an software update would allow the parameters to be altered, but if Vag will release same is doubtfull view the satefy restrictions imposed. I my case I have tried to get used to the max 102 d.c. setting, but unfortunately I need to adjust the backrest to a more comfortable setting.
  21. When storing the setting of the Chair, the system will only allow a max 102 degree inclination of the backrest. so if you prefer eg. 106 percent, you will have to manulally adjust the additional 4 percent back rest by using the appropriate switch. I though a simple software update would allow higher settings, but acc. to Skoda the setting of 102 degrees (seems other manuafacturers also apply same) is max for safety reasons.
  22. Please note that the electric controlled seat has one limitation, which I only found out the hardway since the sales man in retrospect was not aware of same. The backrest can only be set automatically at an angel of 102 degrees, in my case this position is not comfortable, each time I have to manually adjust the backrest to my liking. Checked with the dealer and directly with the Skoda importer in Holland, but apparantly for safety reasons this limitation is pre-programmed. Otherwise the Electric Controlled Chair is great especially when you have two drivers with complete different settings. nb.: the upholstery is matched to the colour of the dash and interior, in this case Creme, my chairs are all grey.
  23. Just came back from a lovely 1 week holiday in East Sussex stayed at Crowborough, visited ao. Brighton / Tenderton / London by rail / Hever / and on the way back Ashford near Folkestone. Drove about 500 miles but regretfully did no see any other Yeti, saw quite a few Fabia's / some Roomsters and Octavias. Since Holland is as flat as a pancake I wondered how the 1.2 tsi engine would cope with the hill climes etc., well can confirm my Yeti loved the UK roads. To reach our cottage we had to drive along a winding 1.3 mile forrest track, eventough it's not the 4x4 off road version we got at our ultimate destination without any problems. below I have added a few pictures of my Yeti in the wild.
