  1. If i were to put my car in the garage I'd have to leave the motorbikes out on the drive.
  2. That'll be a nose weight issue rather than a trailer weight issue per se. With poor loading you can get a seriously dangerous outfit but still be well within the trailer weight limit
  3. And sugarlumps; horses love sugarlumps!
  4. I cocked up my post, outdoor 140 & 170 are now 2,100kg according to Skoda web site
  5. First result on Google http://www.towinghorsetrailers.co.uk/towing_weights_law.htm
  6. I've not towed, however... Based on 2*500kg horses and a 1000kg braked horsebox, you're looking at 2000kg all in. The Yeti outdoor 4*4 110 has a max towing capacity of 1800kg so no. The Yeti outdoor 4*4 140 and 170 have a max towing capacity of 2100kg so yes. Just.
  7. £15 each, one per car :-( The reason I thought I'd try them is because the reviews of the ceramic ones on Amazon are universally poor
  8. I will do. My £1 scraper is proving far more useful than my £30 wheat bags
  9. Unfortunately, the car can't be parked near the house, mainly due to a skip that's in the way. Once that's gone, I'd only manage to get one car near the house anyway. Still, as long as it's my car :-)
  10. Getting bored of scraping the windscreen on both mine and the missus car, I bought a couple of microwaveable wheat bags with the intent of popping them on the dashboard 1/2 hour or so before i wanted to drive off. http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00CA2WBN0 Seemed like a good idea. However after zapping both of them (3 minutes per bag as per the instructions) and popping them on the Yeti dash this morning, I'm no longer convinced. That's after 1/2 hour in the car
  11. Just dug out my copy and tried to get my lad to watch it. He refused. Wise beyond his years that boy
  12. If it makes you feel better, I was thinking about this thread yesterday while I was out in the car and had a quick glance to see if I had 8 or 10 bolt holes. At which point it became apparent that I have neither a sun roof nor the ability to see through steel
  13. The yeti roof rails are too deep for the 757 clamps, they won't fit. Having discovered the thule aero bars & 757s I've happily used on Octy I & II estates wouldn't fit the yeti, I decided to put my hands in my pocket and buy the Skoda bars Now I've discovered that all the Thule cycle racks etc that fitted my aerobars don't fit the deeper yeti bars. Grrr. Getting the right feet for the aero bars would - with hindsight - have been a better option
  14. ...not forgetting that Skoda's instructions advise that the bolts should be replaced regularly; being used for no more than 3 rack-on/rack-off cycles!

    Yeti Winter Coat

Mine gets filthy as soon as I've washed it. The Yeti makes me splash through muddy puddles like a 3-year old with a new pair of glossy red wellies.
  16. I've often thought that the police should deploy snipers to deal with people that are driving arrogantly, vandalism, spitting etc. Users of inappropriate use of fog lights wouldn't even get a warning.
  17. AUS 1 Owned I suspect by an Australian
  18. The best feature is the small boot. It seriously limits the amount of unnecessary rubbish the missus can pack when we go away.
  19. Except we've got the builders in so I suspect it'll be the air bed on the living room floor amid the content of our wardrobes :-(
  20. Or near miss was similar. Train to Matlock was fun Lunch in Peacock in Bakewell was superb and huge (pricey though) Back home tomorrow :-(
  21. The views are stunning and yes, out on the A6 a lot, though less than impressed by the twonk on a sports bike that attempted to become a yeti bonnet ornament a few days ago. I've been to Matlock on a Sunday before on the bike, but today we're going by train. BTW, the Peak District appears to be the f/l yeti capital of the world. Can't move for the things
  22. No, I simply have the MyCarCheck app installed. Give it a reg, it'll tell you what it is, colour, date of first registration, power etc.
  23. Utter contrived codswallop. Superb! We're holidaying at Monsal Head this week
