  1. Strangely enough, when you book in online (at DM KEITH atleast) it does state the interval is 40k miles. But does say "filter changed as required" That said I had a phone call a few days later from the service desk querying why I'd booked in as the interval is 80k 🤷🏼‍♂️ Anyways, I'd had a 2 year "all in" package that comes to an end in April, so I'll be looking round for a good independent as I've not been happy over all when I've used the main dealer
  2. As expected, phone call back to the dealer and after a lengthy wait on hold, been told manufacturers recommendations have been followed and the filter only requires changing every other gearbox service 🤷🏼‍♂️ On a positive note, my warranty claim is being honoured. Something to do with the KESSY which apparently had shown faults during service diagnostics
  3. I did, but there's no filter listed on the parts list. That's why I thought I'd ask here first, as I'd expect to be fobbed off at the service desk. I was arguing over a warranty claim when I picked the car up, so totally forgot to check up on the filter change while I was there
  4. Afternoon all. Just had my gearbox serviced at the main dealer, where 2 people told me they're 'pretty sure' the filter gets changed during the service. But looking round the forum, I'm getting mixed messages as to whether this is the case or not. Can someone give a definitive answer as to whether it should have been changed or not? Thanks
  5. Got round to having the wheels refurbished, calipers repainted and new centre caps to match the new car badges. Was told the wheels had been repaired previously, so couldn't have them diamond cut. I've considered a bronze coloured wheel for a long time, but bottled it at the last minute and stuck with black
  6. I was massively against an auto box, joking I wasn't old enough for one yet. Thinking I'd usually have it in manual, to my surprise I took to the auto straight away. The very odd occasion I think about going manual, the way it overrides and changes gear anyway when I forget I've gone manual, I don't really bother and just leave it in D
  7. Gone for this product, and seeing as it looks like the cold weather is here for a little longer, I'll report back (tho my issue is sticking seals rather than noisy seals)
  8. @Warrior193 is this the item in question? I've had trouble with the door seals sticking when it's icy https://www.amazon.co.uk/Liqui-Moly-Rubber-Treatment-500ml/dp/B00295D0HY/ref=asc_df_B00295D0HY?mcid=9efce0125a6b35bcbbdea33a835ae098&th=1&psc=1&tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=697250304661&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1900015070459449406&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1006496&hvtargid=pla-564919649436&psc=1&gad_source=1
  9. Just to wade in. I recently changed my no name 225/35 R19, which came on the car when I bought it. To 235/35 R19 Continental Contact 2, and the difference is night and day. Less noise, better grip and more importantly a slightly comfier ride. Just not sure if it's down to the change in size or better quality tyre
  10. I didnt know if it would make me look like I was being flashy. I would have definitely gone for a regular rectangle plate, but I think it suits the boot lines nicely
  11. @RattleWagon Not the best weather for pictures, but here's the back
  12. I agree, the Š does look a little off, tho I can't work out why. But still, for a couple of quid, the quality doesn't feel too bad and overall I like it's a little different and the background colour is a perfect colour match. I plan on getting a few of my own pictures this week, especially with the rear plate back on, so I'll post another picture. And thanks, I might have a look and try get these before I have the wheels done
  13. So after having a few bits kicking around for long enough, that I'd ordered online. I finally found the time to give the car a bit of love. Debadged and added some cleaner looking Skoda emblems front and back. New gloss mirror caps due to a few chips and fitted the smoked, Audi style repeaters. Finished off with new numberplates, going for a Lamborghini style on the rear just cos I thought it matched the boot angles nicely. Gloss black roof wrap, smoked rear light units and front fogs courtesy of The Wrap Pod in Featherstone West Yorks. Then an amazing job done by Aaron at Aztec Valeting & Detailing in Altofts West Yorks, with interior valet & single stage paint correction and machine polish and ceramic coating. Due to a mix up, gonna have it back in with him in a couple weeks time for calipers repainting and all 4 wheels refurbed. I know the colour is a bit Marmite, but I love it! Definitely feel the detailing was money well spent
  14. Yeah thats how I read it too, but thought I'd ask the question, as I'm surprised perfume would mark like that, but I've also seen sticker adhesive looking similar when it's debonded from the paper
  15. Was it ordinary plain paper, or is that some kind of adhesive?
  16. Excellent @ords appreciate that, thanks
  17. This concerned me too. When I first got the car I gave it a good blast home up the motorway and noticed it. Still does it now, car doesn't and hasn't missed a beat. So a bit of common sense and reading bits on here, seems it's just water vapour and nothing to worry about 👍
  18. Hi all, After having a bit of cosmetic work done on the car, I've decided I'm having it in for ceramic coating. A good while ago I saw a thread regarding the dynamic repeaters, so off I went to AliExpress and picked up a pair, along side some new puddle lamps and mirror caps. After sitting in the storeroom for about 12 months, I thought now would be a good time to stick everything on before she gets detailed. I reckon to have had a good rummage round on the search bar, but I can't for the life in me find the 'how to' video someone kindly posted up on removing the mirror glass/ changing the repeaters. I don't suppose anyone can point me in the right direction? Thanks
  19. Like others have said, keep an eye on all your fluid levels. But if its not oil and there's no colour/smell/taste, chances are it's just a/c condensation
  20. Ah that would have helped. Could be wrong but I think the V-5 Was cheaper when I ordered. Tho it does look like a bigger unit to be fair
  21. I'm giving Waze another try, so I've ordered the 5.0 version, just cos I don't like the idea of the dongle hanging out with having clumsy kids! Out of interest, what does the 5.0version do over the dongle? Is it just carplay?
  22. Any usb that's 3.1 I'd imagine. A quick search on a selling site and they should tell you if they're capable of data transfer
  23. Just throwing it out there, but I'm still old school. Have my phone in a holder to use Google maps. AA is OK, but I like the real time speed which you don't get on AA, unless I'm missing summat. I've also found things like accidents/road closures/mobile speed cameras don't seem as accurate on AA as apposed to using Google on my phone. Not sure why
  24. You may have got your answer in the replies, but I had issue at first setting it up. The lead I was using wasn't suitable for data transfer
