Skoda Yeti - xenon full beam - not working?
If this was my own car, I would be getting a second person to assist. One sits in the car and operates the lights, so you can see what does and does not light up. If the fault is in the metal shutter that covers the D1S bulb, then this can be inside the headlight, or a wire coming from inside the car to signal it to open for high beam. Should be pin 8 on either side (a 14 pin connector) NS it should be grey and yellow wire, and OS (driver) should be blue and yellow iirc. You could with a multimeter see if there's power at least getting to the headlight to "flip" the shutter. If it has power on Pin 8 when you operate high beam, then you know it's inside the headlight.

Skoda Yeti - xenon full beam - not working?
Yes to both, and you might be replacing it for nothing (no idea why you need a new bulb, and can be got elsewhere for loads cheaper) Do a search for "D1S" and see how cheap they are compared to the above price quoted at you. (You can get one from Halfords for £41) And I always recommend changing in pair, as you will have one bright and one dull lamp afterwards. Anyhow, as to the actual fault of the headlamp, I assume these must be what is called Bi-Xenon, so they have just a single bulb (the D1S) that produces the dipped and high beam using a mechanical shutter. If that's correct, then you may just have a simple broken wire, and could be fixed for a much smaller cost.

Software Update available for Bolero?
There are these updates, but not sure if the higher number will apply to your system. MEN3_EU_SK370_P0113P_0469 MEN3_EU_SK370_P2135P_0742 MEN3_EU_SK370_P1185L_1760 MEN3_EU_SK370_P2345L_1790 The only one I would suggest is 0742 to try (it won't load if it's not compatible) If it doesn't load, then 0469 is your current version and the end of the line.

iPhone 11 won't charge or connect to Apple CarPlay via USB A port on 2019 Kodiaq
It will be cheaper than dealers by a Country Mile, file = free. £5 for a great USB SD reader £x for an SD Card (may as well get a nice size to bung a few MP3/FLAC files onto)

This is dirt cheap, I have one and it's bloody fast! https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07L9VT8YY/ Then you just need to get an SD Card, also not mega bucks.

Skoda Superb Petrol v Diesel
I would go with a petrol for overall ease of use. The petrol cat thefts, could be also same issue with DPF on a diesel also, so that is equally as bad as one another there. A petrol will warm up quicker, and the belt of the 1.5TSI ACT engine if for "life" (though Skoda UK recommend a 5 year change, the factory doesn't... long debate!)

New Skoda owner
Welcome, sounds like a good choice for a Taxi. Hopefully it behaves well.
