  1. Thanks for the response but my 7year old Octavia with a (I assume) similar sensor (and original battery) has never ever shown the same error....any thoughts? Is this a Kamiq thing or is there something wrong with our Kamiq in particular?
  2. In recent freezing conditions the problem raised it's ugly head again, only to rectify itself now the temp is back up. If others aren't having similar issues I can only assume there's something wrong with our particular car?
  3. Ok fair enough, assumed you were referring to the camera at the top of the windscreen. With regard to the radar I assume it was "on" the sensor behind the plastic cover rather than inside, but to be honest I've never seen it and don't know what it looks like "underneath" the plastics.
  4. No window involved.
  5. Apparently the sensor in the grille so I don't know if its sealed, but even so seems bizarre. We also have an 8 year old Octavia which has a similar sensor and has never had an issue.
  6. Hi 23 Kamiq has had errors with front sensor, so been in to Skoda for warranty claim, after dismantling they are saying not covered due to cobwebs in the sensor. Apparently no way to prevent this happening again....seems like a design fault to me. Garage have said they will cover cost out of goodwill this one time, but doesn't bode well for the future....anyone had similar?
  7. Just to be clear if you don't settle during the first 14 days, let's say after a month or two you still get a significant discount? Granted your first month is the biggest interest payment....not sure where the crossover point would be.

  9. I bought a Volvo from DtD in 2005, was all above board. Very unreliable car, but I can't blame them for that. DtD price on the VRS apparently includes a £3500 deposit contribution.... presumably from Skoda? If true I would expect CarWow etc to be in the ball park soon.
  10. I will have to ask the dealer, the additional factory warranty has always been part of the car order. Fair point though I would be tempted to buy a spare wheel as an accessory even though it's twice the price.
  11. So is the P11D price the base price for the 40k luxury limit? If so there's a slim bit of breathing space for options or price increases.
  12. Anyone know if I bought a five year warranty (offered as an option on a new Skodas) would that form part of the "list price" for 40k considerations?
  13. Agreed but you can presumably take the £680 first year VED off those prices which gives some a bit more leeway. Also metallic seems a no cost option on the configurator at least at the moment. A worry would be a tiny price during wait time for a factory order taking the price over Looking at the spec there's standard stuff I could probably do without...adaptive cruise for example.
  14. Hatch: £38570 Estate: £39775 On the configurator: https://cc.skoda-auto.com/gbr/en-GB/ Not much scope for avoiding the UK "luxury" car tax then..,

  16. I got three with my MK3, but I think that was with electric (memory) seats
  17. Looks like the estate is priced about €500 below the Golf GTI in France. So that would be about £38500 in the UK....
  18. You can get a Fabia SEL with the 1.5 now if the Monte Carlo isn't to your taste.
  19. Petrol VRS is now on the German configurator.
  20. I read today the latest Golf GTi is £1000 less than the previous model, which surely bodes well for VRS pricing. Hoping you will able to get an estate with a couple of options under the £40k scary road tax bar...
  21. I think it's a bot answering looking at other responses, so take any answers with a pinch of salt unfortunately.
  22. Recent response to question on a FL ad on Facebook but agree dates strange.
  23. This was the response from Skoda on FB re the petrol VRS....14th Aug
