  1. I have a 1.4 engine and the change is undetectable. I reckon this engine is the best engine I have had. With the turbo I find it bellies the fact that it's a small engine. Obviously it wouldn't be for you shy but I find it's more than adequate for my driving.
  2. They won't charge for diagnostics if the repair is done under warranty. If they decide it isn't a warranty job they will charge, in even if you don't have the job done.
  3. I don't know how they did it but I had a diesel focus and you couldn't get a petrol filler in there. I know because I had brain fade once and tried. Took me a while to realise what I was doing wrong. Why can Ford do this but not other manufacturers?
  4. The garage is trying it on. The car is not of merchantable quality and you are entitled to your money back.
  5. I think the battery is meant to last longer if it doesn't fully charge.
  6. Also if you indicate you will find the car will accelerate even if you don't immediately pull out. I find that you get to know the distance that the car will start to slow and can anticipate it. As others have said you can reduce the distance and the car will remember the last setting.
  7. Got the above error today. Two months out of warranty. Googling it reveals it may need a new gear shift, coming in at around £1,000. It seems to make no difference too the running of the car, just get that message popping up. It seems that there's a technical bulletin about it, I found one for the Golf, but it doesn't say it should be repaired free out of warranty. Maybe there may be a goodwill payment but I'm not holding my breath.
