  1. And the other thing about going faster round corners is you quite often can't see far enough ahead at reasonable speeds.
  2. The winter tyres help a lot because the walls are softer. I'm going to fit all weather tyres to mine when I need to change.
  3. Whenever mine comes back from service the auto parking brake and headlight switch are both turned off. Getting used to it now!
  4. You have a warranty, it's a fault, they should fix it. Whether they get any recompense from Skoda is not your problem.
  5. My car has the Juke box facility and I populated it via the USB port.
  6. I can't move my steering wheel at all without the car changing direction. Are you sure there's not something loose?
  7. It's a common fault and Skoda know about it. I got free parts and 50% off the labour as my car was out of warranty. It should be fixed under warranty for you.
  8. Just to eliminate a possibility, do you have a pedal box fitted? They can throw up some odd errors when they start to go wrong.
  9. Put it this way then. My neutral idling speed is 800rpm. It drops to 800rpm when the parking brake is applied. When the car is in creep more the revs are higher.
  10. I think the clutches are still engaged as the car is ready to creep as soon as you release the pedal.
  11. If you use the parking brake you don't have to put it in neutral, the clutches release. You will see this happening if you watch the rev counter. It will drop a couple of hundred rpm.
  12. As long as it's only a few seconds it will be fine but keeping your foot on the brake means that the auto is still engaged leading to wear on the clutches.
  13. A plastic bag blew onto my grill and the brakes slammed on, luckily it dropped off fairly quickly and the brakes released. It was a good job there was no one behind me, it would have given them a shock.
  14. It will certainly need recalibrating and quite a few dealers don't have the gear to do it. You are looking at an extremely expensive job there.
  15. In my experience it seems to be impossible to match paint theses days, there always seems to be a slight shade difference. But there again I'm very picky, some people are easier going.
  16. I find you need to be gentle with the throttle. I turn it off for tight manoeuvring as sometimes it leaps backwards when you overcome the brake.
  17. I reckon this is one of the best things on the Skoda. Got a surprise when I collected the car from it's service and it was switched off. Wondered why I was rolling back when I stopped!
  18. Congratulations you've just made my ignore list... In fact you're the only one
  19. My car was just out of warranty and they replaced it free of charge and I paid 50% of the labour. This is a well known issue and they will contribute if they are pushed. Don't take no for an answer as they have a notification on file that it is a fault and they should repair it.
  20. @SomethingSuperbly Have you tried https://www.breakerlink.com/?code_no=10002=word=carpart_posttown&code_no=10002&gclid=CjwKCAjwkdL6BRAREiwA-kiczOnkFsjGKXzmhJY9S97WD1a3jBBaUWl-jtWuDcJQiK3EYBRUNd3E3BoCjzIQAvD_BwE I got one for my focus there a few years ago. Got three offers from different breakers.
  21. Before you pay for it contact Skoda support. Mine was just out of warranty and they paid for the part and 50% of the labour. It is a known fault and they will contribute if you push them. I had to get it diagnosed by a Skoda Service station before they would consider it.
  22. I used the hardwire kit from Halfords. They have piggy back fuses which work fine in the superb
  23. Put the car in reverse and wash the rear window, you should see the water cloud the lens
