Hi Just a bit of info for you to spec a passat estate 140 se up to the same or similar spec to a Superb 140 elegance means adding 8k worth of extras to the base price of 23k it actually works out at over £31k !! no thats A6 5 series money ! Andy

on the subject of the 2.0 cr engine why do we and vw get the 138bhp but audi and seat get the 143bhp version not a lot granted but there must be a diffrence ? I strongly belive all these main line car makers are playing games with us, if you look at the moment (at uk Market) then the main differential for 13%BIK is 119g/km but this is only valid until April 6th then it drops to 114g/km so you order a car on the119 scale and you only get 3 months benifit until it leaps up to 18% BIK then about 2 months later makers launch 114 cars and then a year later 109 etc the technology exists but they are playing games because as a company car driver one the main considerations has to be CO2 and not because we all want to be green but because it costs us were it hurts in the pocket ! i suppose we could all get Prius's but then life's to short ! Hi It may not be better but it's a damn site quicker ! I got one for x max did 3 cars in less than an hour with a lot less effort Well impressed I have cherry pink foam with lance on a karcher 1" in bottle to 1litre of water slight shake About a2foot wide jet at 2 metres away very thick all over Incedently that mix did all 3 cars The only thing I found was it took 3 days for foam to disperse Cheers. cheers for reply mannyo yeah not that bothered about park assist but would like front sensors mdi retro fit, could i get the dealer to do it, what do you think, fleet manager already hinted that they would pay to rectify problems to some extent anyway as these options were over a 1000 pounds now all i need to do is work out why my shift keys not working lol andy

Hi Know this sounds silly but regarding the missing light have you checked the Spare wheel well as mine was in there as thats the position for transit an mine was missed on PDI but i found it in the well After making a fuss ooppss !!! Cheers Andy

Hi I managed to get my Superb elegance just before christmas (23rd) unfortunalty the car was ordered wrong by my lovely fleet manager ^&^&%^%* so far though very impressed with it very suprised at how quiet the 140 cr engine is and she seems to be losening up nicely it does feel a bit flat at 60-70 in 6th needing some time or drop a cog but sure it will be fine also love the colour Steel grey it looks a little bit bluey to me and really like it mine came with V7 sat nav software and what realy suprised me ws that my 3 year old Blackberry 8310 synced up first time and downloaded full contact lit all 1474 of them and has not hickuped since V impressed although its not working rsap it still works well and better than any HF car kit i have ever had ! ok so theres some poitives now the rubbish ! Not skodas fault but placed my order with our fleet for Elegance 140 combi park assist elec boot mdi priviacy glass mats and spare wheel all confirmed etc no problems bearin mind i order this first week of August car was deliver 11am on 23rd 60 mins before we finished for christmas ! none of the factory options fitted ie no pask assist no Mdi no elec boot fleet manager very appolagetic then hid in his office ! so rest of car is spot on although not had a big drive yet and on first tank avarege is 38mpg but this is aroun town and i do have a heavy right foot so what can be retro fitted by the dealer I guess elec boot is a none starter which is not a problem but would realy like MDI and front sensors can the front sensors be retro fitted and wired in to MFD ? as i do like the look of this cheers Andy Ps sorry for spelling still hung over ! lol

I currently have 3 cars Honda CRV on normal tyres (well for the next 2 days untill my Superb arrives) Honda Jazz cvt with new tyres normal and A Mitsibushi Delica 4x4 running General grabbers at2's which have about 14mm of tread (what snow !) I know what i would take in the bad weather but at 22mpg its not for every day use ! it will be intresting to see how i get on with the change from a toy 4x4 (crv) back to a front wheel drive considering that this is my 3rd CRV the CRV i have to say has been excellent in this bad weather and has never let me down, the wife has managed to get around in the Jazz and i have played in the Deli, went up in the hill the other week and just drove through 3-4 foot snow drifts with out a problem great fun but all said and done the diffrence in breaking steering acceleration is incredible in the snow and an offroad/winter tyre would be my choice if i had one but as the Superb will be a lease car then not an option at the moment Andy

oh somebody else how had an A2 the wife had one when i had the A6 cracking car and quick we had the 1.6 fsi but the thing that alway made me laugh was the way the car rocked in the rain due to large wiper and light car !! Andy

I had an Audi A6 in that colour a few years back and I am reggretting not ordering mine in that colour again as all ways liked it and everybody used to comment on th colour and how clean it was but the wife didnt like it even though she choose the colour ! it still looked good 3 years and 120k miles later enjoy mine arrives 23rd hopefully and in steel grey Cheers Andy

Hi well i was informed friday that i will be taking delivery of mine on the 23rd its having windows blacked out today/tommorow so will be delivered to my office before 12 as we finsh at 1 then its party time ! so no chance to drive properly for a few days so keeping fingers crossed all will be ok andy

But this what i find strange about mine is i have the Reg number ! i even have the bl00dy fuel card with the reg on it some where in the house !! just no damn car Andy

Hi Has anybody tried the torrent downloads for V7 there seems to be 5 versions avalible when you google navigation skoda v7 west europe I know its probably a copyright infringment but as SUK and the dealers dont know what they are doing then take matters in to your own hands Andy

hi I want a 3.6 ! but have to make do with a 2.0 cr )-: just to carry on about this and that I looked into the 3.6 v6 engine in the Superb and its a very very narrow V6 in fact its almost a straight as the v is at 10.5 degrees compared to the audi 3.0 which is a 90 deg v 6 hence the reason its in a transverse configiuration and used in the passat golf and A3 and probably the reason we will not see a V6 diesel in the superb well at least not a Audi/vw v6 anyway so what about the 5 cylinder from the Toureg then ? 240HP PLEASE lol Andy

I will second that i have ran 2 A6 and 2 Honda CRV's over the last 12 years and found that the servicing was cheaper to source myself as were the tyres on the last CRV i went for Mitchellns and managed nearly 40k on them and they were really cheap something like £250 for 4 fitted and balanced using costco and there buy 4 get 40% when you renewed membership they are a harder tyres but was well impressed with them and costco (but that is a trade wharehouse) Andy

Hi not sure of cost on pcp but got mine on business lease £509.00 plus vat per month based on 3+35 months 120k miles full maintance through Lookers £600 per year for tyres and a service seems a bit steep to me assuming you have it for 3 years and you do 18k then first year should be no cost depending on how you drive second year one service and say front tyres at around the 18 month mark then maybe 2 rears at 24 month mark, second serveice and brake pads at 36 months another set of fronts at 36months probably a lot less than £1800.00 which is what skoda want but if you were like i was when i ran my own car for company use i didnt want any other costs over and above my monthly payment Andy

is it ? always tought they were transverse or is it the older a4 <2008 were longitudal and the new one's are transverse i know the passats were lngitudal and is now transverse so is the mk1 superb transverse or logitudal ? Andy

whats the betting that we get the 2.7 v6 out of the A6 when the new A6 comes out in the new year ? the reason i say this is didnt the mk1 get the old 2.5 from a6 as i pretty sure that the a6 is in line and the superb is transverse so if the 2.5 was inline in the a6 then transverse in the mk1 then (my) logic says that the 2.7 will go transverse in the mk2 but then again isnt the a4 transverse as well and gets the full spread of engines or am i way off track ? why ? is it really worth having the car serviced 6 times in 17k miles are trying to keep your dealer in business ! I was in a Skoda Mk1 the other day a 1.8 petrol with an lpg conversion 55 plate with 357k miles on the clock amazed were the only words i could use ! ps if you really do change your oil after 6 weeks and 3k miles can i have your old oil for my truck ! lol Andy

Hi I have had my windows tinted B pillar back on all my cars for about the last 10 years the only time i have ever had a car broken in to was when my A6 was at the dealers for some warranty work and the hire car another A6 was broken in to outside Playgolf in manchester and my laptop was stolen it was in the boot but i reckoned they watched me get my clubs out of car saw laptop and poped rear side widow and pulled back roll cover (it was an avant version) it didnt have privacy glass ! the best bit was trying to explain to my boss why I was at a golf driving range at 3pm on a thursday afternoon oopppss bizzarly if you have film and you point a black and white security camera with infared lights at it then they see straight through the film and glass ! this is the answer i have had from my lease supplier "The car is still at the port in Grimsby waiting to be picked up. I think it was closed last week due to the snow so they are catching up. As soon as it arrives with the dealer I will let you know so we can get it out to you asap. It will be at a dealership in Manchester. With regard to the Sat Nav the version the dealer uses is 6.1 where you enter the first three digits of the post code. They are checking to see whether or not they can obtain a copy of version 7." Not happy with response regarding sat nav version so have email SUK for clarification on this along with compensation for late deliver Andy
