  1. SAME TEAM YOU IDIOT! I never really got on with battlefield, for some reason my net won't pick up hardcore servers and the 'normal' game takes about 4 shots to kill someone with a powerful gun so it just frustrated me.. not blown away with the graphics but appreciate that there is a lot more scope than MW3 with tanks, planes, boats etc etc
  2. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-VW-Quantum-LONGLIFE-3-Oil-5w-30-5-Litres-/140465413627?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item20b4641dfb#ht_818wt_1037 99% Sure this is the correct and recommended oil for VAG 1.8T Engines someone will clear it up
  3. If this hasn't gone let me know and I'll take it, thanks.
  4. Hi Martin, sent the money over now Via Paypal. Thanks mate!
  5. Usually it depends on both age/mileage.. I think its about the material perishing and degrading. I think its usually about 60k miles or every 5 years on the octy.. I'd imagine it would be pretty similar to the diesels
  6. Funny that the castor increase bush has the same OE part number as the normal ones though.. http://www.superpro.eu.com/catalogue/17/skoda-octavia-mki-2wd-1998-_to-2004/kit5133cak/front-control-arm-bush-kit/#SPF2084K
  7. Woah they really are stunning.. Remove the first picture imo, look loads cleaner in the other pics! Sorry, I'm really only interested in wheels which will be a direct swap.
  8. Where abouts is it mate? See you are from the West mids so you can't be that far from me! Detailing days sound brill..
  9. Yeah I need the 5 x 100 adaptors too. I think they would fit but I'd rather sooner someone tell me. Do the adaptors come with the wheels? Also, any pics fitted?
  10. Will have a game later mate! I hate the American accent "oh you n00000b" My gamertag: Weemtingz
  11. Hi mate, what size tyres do these run? Any ideas if they'd fit an octy without hassle?
  12. All ordered, pri racing VAG - Front - Control Arm Lower - Bushes Kit Thanks for your help guys, Hope I love it! £72 delivered though.. They'd better bloody last! lol
  13. Think I'm going to change most of the suspension.. I want to go to the ring!
  14. Try a product called goo gone to get the label and residue off.. works wonders in pretty much any application!
  15. +1 .. They know their way around a 1.8T! Not very near Manchester though..
  16. Thanks for the Link. I've use pri in the past and they are really good. I don't fancy polying the whole car at once as if I don't like a part or section I will just revert back however if I do the whole car think it would be a bit over kill for me.. I'm not even on coilies or anything! Gonna do some mods this year though.. I've already got the dogbone polybushed that was a brilliant mod..
  17. Hope it isn't terminal mate! could well just be that the pipes have dislodged/moved slightly on impact when in contact with the kurb then when under load (quite high load in 4th gear at just under 3000 rpm) it's decided it didn't fancy holding on anymore. Anyway, i'll stop waffling. Let us know how you get on later.
  18. Too true, 2 'mods' with brentacre 'panel filter, upgraded diverter valve' knocked about £800 off the policy lol
  19. Sounds like you look after it well. Try disconnecting the intake hose see if it makes any notable diffence.. if it is the same chances are there is just a boost leak. If it gets worse then perhaps it is. Pretty bizarre that it would just give up the ghost without anything too spectacular happening though! Is it mapped?
  20. Thanks mate Is that both bushes or just the rear bush? Thanks for the replies guys, think I'm definitely going with the superpro's.. I just want to sharpen up the front end a bit. Has anyone had any experience with the control arm bush with the castor angle increase? Would an increase in castor angle mess up tire/suspension/bearing wear etc etc..
  21. Try getting some leak detection spray first.. Usually you would be chucking smoke out like mad Does sound like boost hoses popping off. It hasn't been ran dry etc? Any engine management?
  22. Creaking can refer to a lot.. typical VW Golf stuff.. ARB Bushes are the no. 1 Other things to name just a few could be snapped springs, ARB drop links, wishbone bushes, top mounts (then again, top mounts would more knock) A while back my mates car had a bad creak.. we put some grease around the suspension components and all was good, it could just be a dry bush etc..
  23. Hi all, Now xmas is out the way I can spend some more time (and money) on the car at last! On both sides wishbone lower bushes have gone, so the wishbones have to come out so I'm going to do front & rear bushes at the same time. Having a snoop around some people are claiming horror stories of the lower bush popping out when the car is being jacked up etc. saying they aren't fit for purpose, wear prematurely and saying TT lower bushes are better than poly. In terms of the front bush has anyone made the change? Only reason I say it is because I can get a Front & Rear kit and save us a few quid, it seems rear bush is a lot more common to failure than the front, suppose there is more stress on it or something. I'm not bothered about ride harshness, I'd far sooner drive a car that crashes around a bit but handles tight over a wooly, unprecise weaving mess. In terms of polybushing for me it's always been superpro.. Never been a fan of powerflex and other brands, unmatched in terms of quality imo. So yeah, what's your experiences? Anyone got both front & rear wishbone bushes poly, anyone used TT bushes etc etc. Any help would be great ta!
  24. Am I being a pure retard?! I literally cannot see/feel any fixings!
