When you say "out of line", do you mean the shut gap or bulge in bonnet? Mine's on the offside. The bracket is clear of the bonnet, where the ball fitting is.

Just a thought here lads, has anybody tried releasing the strut tension to see if the bonnet returns to its natural shape/contours?

Just had a quick look at the encapsulating device, looks like you may have some joy prising the back section off with a couple of 5mm flat blade screwdrivers.

No problems what so ever.

Stu, I just unbolted the front section, knocked out the pre-cat material and bolted the lot back together. Sensor fits where it was removed from. Simples, Dealer will have gasket and bolts if required, I used the old bits and have had no problems.
