  1. So it won't drain it completely... but what if I put a hose in the bottle and blast it through? Ideally I want to get all the old coolant out. I can only find the G13 stuff - is that ok or does it have to be G12?
  2. I'm going to attempt draining the coolant system before the really bad weather hits and wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction. 1) Where is the best place to drain it? Is there a plug on the radiator somewhere or is there a better / easier option? 2) Once drained, is it worth sticking a hose in the bottle (with the plug still out) and flushing it out for a while? 3) How much mixed coolant needs putting back in? (i.e. 50/50 mix of AF + H2O = total litres) 4) Will this be suitable: http://www.halfords.com/motoring/engine-oils-fluids/antifreeze/comma-g30-antifreeze-and-coolant-rm-5l Thanks in advance
  3. One of these days I might have the money to make this car awesome :/

  4. That's an amazing idea I'm currently in love with "Kombat UK" but will look into some stickers. ...might even wrangle some free kit in return for a bit of advertisement
  5. This is stupid. I was really looking forward to Windows 9... yeah ok it's only a name, but it makes me wonder exactly what is going through these people's minds. 7 is fantastic and I was hoping 9 would be the big upgrade to it. 7 and 9 sound really good as well. I heard somewhere that this'll be the last ever Windows release - the next Windows systems will all be cloud-based, which sounds gash.
  6. Small update... still can't afford all the bits I want for new exhaust system, so time for a bodge. 3 months without a clean meant it was looking a bit sorry for itself... so it was time to give it an autumn clean. And I decided to add a little more colour. Not sure on them yet - might stay, might get binned. So no new exhaust yet and a few bits still need mending, but at least it's back on the road
  7. Really like that colour - makes a change to see something different
  8. Thanks mate - that means a lot Maybe... maybe one day lol Car has been off the road for nearly 7 weeks now. Trying to save up to get it all fixed, but proving a struggle. Hopefully be back soon :(

  10. Wait... what? I've missed something between "Retest" and "Terkin has it and it's in bits" :S
  11. Haha that's amazing If I ever manage to get a new (better paid) job then I might just look into that!
  12. Well... after being dicked around by another company, I've finally got an exhaust I like the look of. I originally wanted a big oval, but after a quick photoshop... I think this'll do nicely Now to get it fitted.
  13. Absolutely no need for that. Another example of a copper who's too scared to chase real criminals, so picks on people for minor infractions. Sorry to hear about it mate. Keep your chin up and... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyRdEUrwJV4
  14. I'm currently on 205/45/17 and it looks horrible with the rim lip sticking out. Super prone to curbing as well. 205/40/17 would be a nightmare!
  15. Replied to PM Thanks dude - it's a bit s*** atm because car parts are far outweighing my wages, but I'll get there eventually. Hopefully 2015 will be it's debut at car shows - fingers crossed :p
  16. Nah, I can't see it. That bit in the middle bugs the crap out of me, even blacked out. I think yours works better Bowders because your car is silver, so it's less noticeable. With mine being matte black I think it'll stick out like a sore thumb :( Doesn't matter anyway... a package has arrived - pics in project thread later on  (Thanks for all the help though guys, it is appreciated )
  17. I think I might cry... finally order it and this has happened: The one single tailpipe design I liked the look of (6"x4" oval) and they've stopped making them. Now I'm going to have to choose between a 4" Jap slash-cut or another 6"x4" oval which has got a weird looking bit of extra metal inside the tip :(
  18. Thanks for the offer mate - got the funds sorted for a new Piper now, so ordered one
  19. I started at 132k with light modding... and went extreme at around 138k. Fantastic cars for tuning - engines are bulletproof and there's plenty of options. Get cracking!
  20. That'd be good, but I don't have the capability to do that. Tbh I'm now at a point of just throwing parts on the car just to get it fixed - everytime I fix one thing, 2 things go wrong... so I'm playing catch-up all the time. I've still got to sort the following: - Rad & fans (overheating) - Servo assist (trying to brake quickly is interesting) - Discs and pads - New tyres - Tracking - New gearbox - ...I'm sure there's more The list is getting so big now that I'm just going to chuck money at ready-made parts before something major happens :P
  21. At the mo it's completely OEM - it's just broken so I might as well get a Piper upgrade. I also need to replace the Cat O2 sensors, so now would be the best time to get a replacement for that section as well (the whole lot is corroded to hell) hence this thread. Because people are saying a De-Cat will cause problems at MOT time, I'm thinking of getting a replacement OEM Cat and then fitting a Piper Cat-back.
  22. So basically it's OEM or grief at MOT time. In that case, does anyone know if a 2.5" Piper cat-back will fit straight onto an OEM cat, or will I need extra bits?
