  1. Well today I said farewell to my first ever car... kept in a bodyshop for 6 years, it's off to be restored by someone else :( Anyway, to the current beast... I've completed the drivers door puddle light: I will complete the other 3 on another day. The car was absolutely filthy so I decided to give it a quick clean... as I could barely see out of windows and mirrors Disgusting... Gradually getting warmer out there... so hopefully more stuff to come soon
  2. Minor update... SORN about to end - back on the road this Tuesday With any luck this cold weather will bugger off and I can start doing stuff again. Currently looking at emergency lighting that I can remove when not in show use. I've managed to acquire some other lighting bits already though - puddle lights on the way soon:
  3. Whiteline 24mm. Has made the car much easier to turn, but without being ridiculous. Feels like the car has a new lease of life :p
  4. Got the car back... passed MoT with flying colours Came back with a couple of extras too - new ECS dogbone mount and... Finally fitted and the results so far are really good. Very weird to drive at first... almost feels like the power steering has been given a boost Nose is very happy turning into corners now. Next stop... refitting the headlights and wheels, then onto some silicone hoses and an oil catch can
  5. Just bought myself a 42 Draft Designs oil catch can and I've been supplied some rubber hoses. Anyone got any suggestions for better ones and where to get them? (Braided, etc). Cheers - T
  6. Yeah I can't wait - bored of not doing anything now :p Small update... my show plates have finally arrived. Shame I can't have them on permanently :(
  7. Yeah... I was hoping to have arches on by now, but just not had the time to sort it out. Hopefully get them on soon.
  8. Nothing much happening atm... mainly due to new job and crap weather. Gradually changing back to certain parts for MoT. Proper PITA to deal with, but hey ho. Car is absolutely filthy. Kind of adds to the Mad Max effect Feels weird being back on sporty alloys with low profile tyres!
  9. Well I have most of the parts I've listed anyway and don't want to start chopping and changing. The Viper kit has served me well and is better than my K&N. The main reason I've been looking at the Forge intercooler is because it's a direct fit with a supplied modified crash bar. I just want to get it fitted without having to bodge the hell out of piping, etc. I'll have to look into getting the deletes done then... another job I've been meaning to do :P
  10. Now I'm in a much better job (with some actual cash to spend) I'm currently planning the jump from standard to Stage 2. I've wanted to go to Stage 2 for a while, but held off until I can get all the right parts and do it properly... so at the moment I'm trying to figure out all the parts I require before going ahead. This is the list I have so far: - Viper induction kit with CAI feed (here) - Forge silicon Turbo Intake Pipe (here) - Forge FMIC kit (here) - Upgraded fuel injectors (here) - Full Piper exhaust system: downpipe, sports cat and cat-back [all 2.5"] (here) Are those parts correct? Anything else needed? Thanks guys
  11. I completely forgot to order one :( I think Colin should send out a Brisky email next year to advertise it... and remind some us.
  12. No updates for a long time now - I've started a new career so that's been hogging all my time (lots of training). However, I'm almost done, so should hopefully get some more work done to the car soon. Currently planning: - Rear window louvres - Custom archwork (all 4 corners) - FMIC - Full exhaust system - Stage 2 - Aussie siren (as heard in MM films) with dash light And I've got these to fit at some point: I'm also now on Instagram! @ road.warrior87
  13. I'm currently looking to stick some Forge wheel spacers on my front wheels to even them up with the rear ones... and in order to do this I've got to get longer wheel bolts. Problem is, I can only find standard bolts and not any locking wheel nuts. There's no way I'm leaving my wheels insecure... so is there any way around this? TIA
  14. I've got to get a shift on! I've done a test fit of the arch extenders - they're not a perfect fit, but I'm sure a bit of persuasion will mould them in place: Covers the rears perfectly, but the fronts look a little odd - I'm probably going stick some spacers on (probably 16mm if I can get away with it). Now I just need to spray them and work out how I'm going to attach them
  15. Thanks buddy - appreciated I've done some more shopping tonight... Forge pipes on the way (induction and breather system). Went with red as my coil packs were already red. Should hopefully get a nice black / grey / red theme going on - I can't believe just how expensive a few hoses are! I'm also planning to delete the SAI / N249 / etc in the near future. Just a case of having the guts to do it - may not seem like a major thing, but I'm all self-taught with no mechanical training whatsoever, so anything I do is a leap of faith. Should be ordering fuses / blanking plates soon. I've also ordered some amber LED strips to do the "puddle light" mod... and the wheel arch extensions have arrived! Now to work out how I'm going to fit them New O/S/F window regulator has been ordered as well, so I can finally have a working window again. Can't believe it's mid-August already and time's running out to get all the mods done. Summer needs extending!!
  16. Those new wheels makes everything look a lot better - suits the car much more
  17. Wheels on, arch extentions ordered... and now to plan more madness!

    1. @Lee

      @Lee

more, more is good. More madness,,,,,,,,,, :D

  18. I'd love to do that, but I'm a bit worried it might affect weight transfer / handling too much. The front is also very close to the ground with the splitter on the front bumper, so I've got to be careful not to stick it in the ground everytime I hit the brakes It would look good though.
  19. Thanks guys. Well now that's finally over and done with, I can return to thinking up mad ideas. Deffo more vents, etc to come. Really need to work out how I'm going to add louvres to the rear window... maybe some bars / armour plating as well! Shame no one's turning their car into "Pursuit" or "Interceptor" - could have our own gang
  20. Sod it... took it round the block and stopped for some proper pics Needs lowering now that it's gained ride hide... but not really got much arch gap to play with now
  21. I think some smaller ones might work Right... this happened: The fella who did the tyres actually owns a matte black VW van with banded steelies... so I'm not the only lunatic around here! Saw the pictures of it and it looks amazing - bull bars (legal) and everything! Then came the inevitable: The fronts are perfectly fine however: And vs the original spiders: So the question is... can I get away with it? It's nowhere near as bad as I thought it'd be but it's still slightly poking :(
  22. Haha tbh I've got no choice... now I just need to find ones that will fit! Once the tyres are on tomorrow, I'll test fit the wheels and get the tape measure out.
