5 years on and still happy.
Hi Colin, I feel the same as you, we usually change at 3 years but have decided to to keep the Karoq indefinitely . Very happy with it and as yet the plug in's and full electrical cars have no appeal, far too expensive and very limited range and charging points at present for what we do in our life. Same as you I'm rambling , been rebuilding the driveway walls, it's raining and at 75 it's taking it's toll.

Rainworth Motors Ltd - Mansfield..
I continue to be happy with this dealer. Had the car serviced at 3 years old, MOT, brake fluid change and 4x4 oil change as well as normal stuff, they also found the battery to be faulty and renewed it under warranty. The service also included complementary AA roadside Assistance to sweeten the deal.

Is yours getting slacker as it's getting older?
I had my load cover replaced for the same problem at around a year old, started to get slow again a year later! Squirted some GT85 into the ends and that fixed it.

1200 mile Covid Service
I had my Karoq serviced at Rainworth Skoda last week including it's first MOT, brake fluid and 4x4 oil change. They picked it up from home and returned it, they explained they would not be able due to covid, that they would not be cleaning it inside and out " they usually do a good job ", they also tested and replaced the battery under warranty! I had not noticed a problem with it. Result, I was happy with the service given.

Motion sickness whilst driving and passenger
I have suffered with meniere's disease for years which gives me vertigo although I have had it under control for a long time. Do you take any medication ? I have been on Betahistine for a long time which helps.

which bike rack - no tow bar.
Up to 4 bikes on a tailgate? Be careful ! Full suspension, E bikes and cheap bikes are very heavy . You could end up with 4 bikes on the rack but with the tailgate 100 yards behind you.

Karoq driver's footwell
It's not a large foot rest as such but I find the lip to be ok for me!

Karoq Boot liners
For heavy duty use I use the rubber Skoda mat that I kept from my Octy estate, trimmed a bit off the back end and it fits my Karoq with vario seating well. I do use the double sided one most of the time.

Octavia Scout - What should I know
If all has been done service wise and you're happy with the car you won't be disappointed. I had a 64 reg Scout 184hp DSG and it was the best car I have ever had, swapped it for a 4x4 DSG Karoq for the higher seating but I do miss the Scout.

Battery failure in Keyfob
I keep a spare in my wallet to save messing around with the lock.

AdBlue
The last time I got one it was a 5ltr from Asda for £5. Easier to manage than the 10ltr.

Waving & Yeti Games
In the late 70s when we had a S100 then later the Estelle most other Skoda drivers waved at one another, and it didn't seem sad.😀

Lane assist
I had lane assist on my 64 reg Octavia Scout and to be fair it worked well, just used it on motorways and it was easy to over ride when needed to, it was nothing like I am hearing about this version, I am glad I don't have it on the Karoq.

Karoq reversing
Remember the days when we had to hold the car on the hand brake till the clutch bit and held! Those were the days 😁 Much easier now as long as the auto hand brake works.🤣

Recommended Bike Rack
I would stick to fitting it in the back of the car. I also do this, once you have done it a few times it becomes simple, I have two buckle straps permanently fitted in the boot to the fixing lugs and drop them over the seat post tube after removing the front wheel and seat post, this holds the bike very steady with the middle seat removed. I have a full sus bike, I am 74 and don't fancy dropping the bike on the roof !!
