  1. Some other things to try: • Change or clean the pollen filter if it hasn't been done recently • Check all carpets for damp due to water leaks • Check spare wheel well and boot area for damp • If you have a sunroof, check the drains are clear Any of these can cause excessive condensation.
  2. True the Kufatec creates artificial noise. This is natural V6 TDI noise though, albeit amplified by a custom exhaust and DPF delete:
  3. I'd qualify that by saying "4 cylinder diesel" My bro in law has a new S4 (3.0 V6 TDI) and they have some sort of similar system to the Kufatec linked above as standard, sounds awesome IMHO.
  4. You could look at these: https://www.kufatec.com/en/sound-booster-pro/# @JohnnyType2 has one on his Octavia vRS TDI
  5. Is it 4x4? Or has your engine been nicked?
  6. Passat R-line Edition 2.0 TSI DSG 4Motion to give it it's full title 😁 @MarkyG82 the V60 has a smaller boot AFAIK, nice motor though. V90 is colossal! My boss has a V90 T8 and it's ridiculously quick. However, it has just had the e-Rad replaced (entire electric rear axle assembly and battery pack has to come out to do this) under warranty at 60k miles (limit of warranty) and it seems to be a common issue with the T8 hybrid Volvos.
  7. You won't find one at 20k yet, they were dealer allocation only from mid 2019, and only 150 came to UK including 240ps diesel version. Yes, similar to Superb in many ways, tbh it actually has slightly less rear legroom, but has full IQLight matrix LED headlights, Columbus spec nav, electric seats & boot, area view cameras and auto pilot style cruise control, DCC etc. as standard. I got an excellent deal on mine, and figured residuals may be better than the Superb.
  8. I have one of these, have you thought about them? 272ps, 4Motion etc
  9. Nearly 60mm closer to the struts?
  10. Not sure if you mean lumens or colour temperature, but the lower the K number, the yellower they will appear. Higher numbers go through blue all the way to purple. OEM is usually 4300 or 5000k. Any higher can look artificially 'blue' IMHO.
  11. @SashaGrace has retrofitted the VBF, she'll know what the score is for sure!
  12. I personally doubt it's the tail light, partly because of the volume of water. Have you removed the spare wheel and checked there are no missing rubber bungs/grommets in the spare wheel well? The rear windscreen washer pipe is known to come loose on some Octavias, pumping the fluid out of a bad connection, could it be this draining in to the wheel well? Also possible but not very likely is a blocked or leaking sunroof drain (if you have a sunroof), I'm not sure if there are any at the rear of the sunroof in addition to the two in the A pillars though.
  13. How close to the front of the car is the garage door (or anything) when you start it? Just wondering if the sensor is being freaked out when you start, due to close proximity of a garage door etc. Don't see why it should, just a suggestion.
  14. Black Magic paint code is LF9R
  15. Well, someone had to quote a post that long, didn't they...
  16. Very possibly a blocked heater matrix due to the silica bag in the coolant tank bursting, unfortunately. Search for 'silica bag' on here, there are tonnes of posts about it.
  17. No approved tuning parts unfortunately. You may be remembering Eibach springs, which were a dealer fit option for the Mk2 IIRC. Eibach and H&R do a lot of VAG suspension parts, and there are brands like Forge and Revo for hardware and software. Mountune have launched a VAG tuning brand, although they are not officially approved like their Ford parts: https://www.mountune52.com/ There is also Racingline, formerly known as Volkswagen Racing/VWR https://www.racingline.com/
  18. Water pump is a common failure - see sticky thread at top of this forum. Mine went at 38 or 40k miles from memory. They changed the belt and tensioner as I had reported the noise. Makes sense financially to replace cambelt and tensioner at same time as water pump due to amount of dismantling required - cheaper to do it all together. A 2018 car with 34k miles should be under warranty though. Good luck with the dealer. Mine (Mitchells at Cheshire Oaks) were excellent, really impressed.
  19. What, because potentially it's fried? Or completely burgered?
  20. Was the belt tensioner replaced? If not, I suggest that could be the cause. Search on here, there are a few threads about it. I had mine done under warranty at about 40k miles, along with the water pump. 16 plate 4x4 vRS TDI
