I would suggest just that with the addition of a wax on top for extra protection OR Just a 'Ceramic' Sealant.

I used a plastic trim removal tool and then some AS Tardis and picked at it ...Then rubbed off with a used cloth Took some time, but all clean now and ready for the Winter rubber

Got the 16" Alloys out today...Stripped off the old wheel weights, removed all the glue Detared and Deironed, polished and degreased again ready for the Winter tyres being fitted Then Carbon Collective Ceramic sealant when the Tyres are fitted and balanced before I fit them at the end of the Month I will have some Yokohama tyres for sale soon...5mm on two..6mm on the other two (205/50/16)

Best way I can describe it is Synthetic or Natural....but its not quite that simple...There are Hybrids and synthetic waxes too Have a read of this taken from 'Autogeek' : I will add to this and include so called Ceramic Sealants which offer to double or treble the durability of a standard sealant Such a product is GTechniq C1 ...Carbon Collective Platinum Paint Sealant.....the list is long!!

You really need a paste sealant like Bilt Hamber Autobalm or FinishKare 1000 or it will end up too soft, but a small splash of EXP into a hard wax might just work

I've had a similar problem to solve this year We now have a Citroen DS4..It has 19" alloys (DSport model) and very big calipers After discussing with Citroen .............and the Dealer (They knew nothing in the end) it turns out that the 18" wheel is the only option Unfortunately I could not get a set without paying stupid money...not even steel wheels So....I sourced some Kumho KW27 Winter tyres (Same I had on the Octavia vRS with Audi Alloys...great tyres!) I bought them from 'MyTyres' (225 40 19) @ £125 each My tyre fitter will swap the tyres and store them for £10 a corner. I'm happy with that
