This was bit of a disaster for me! But it was great up to moment my car sprayed oil all over the track and became totally uncontrollable.
It must have been virtually out as it needed a lot of oil!
Thanks to those who helped me out. The AA managed to bodge my car so I could drive home. It was lucky I got towed to a lay-by before the AA came and pretended I hadn't been racing! Otherwise I'd have been charged.

Im going to join you folks.
Anyone else on roughly the same route as me? M54-M6-M5
Failing that I'll just aim to be at Strensham services for about 7.30
-
Sorry folks I'm going to miss this. Im joining the midlands convoy which will get to the track at about 9am so way too late.
Have fun folks. Hopefully no need for a police attendance this time....

You can hire the helmets anyway. Usually costs me £5

Fortunately I got that before Tesla sales started...
Good move! You could probably just give it to Tesla in exchange for a Model S...

The model S will look the nuts with that plate!

Any pics of the steering wheel buddy?

I'll be driving down the M5 to Combe so will probably join.
I need to check if the times work as I was planning on going to the the Bristol Breakfast pre Combe meet

Just bring the Corsa,
Gives us something else to look over on the clubstand!

For the fronts you would need to find new hubs from a Fabia vRS/ Polo GTI/ Ibiza FR or Cupra.
That makes it quite a pricey upgrade

Lol,fitted joes today
Found a issue with the thermo plate fitting on the BLT too :(
Nothing a hack saw can't sort though...

Wow it's huge!

You could perhaps achieve this using springs on the original struts? I've seen this done on a MK2 Fabia.
-
No there isn't.
The standard OEM exhaust system WITH cat is fine to ~220 BHP after which backpressure may start to build at high RPM with a larger turbo fitted. The cat is not any more 'restrictive' than the missing section of 2.25" pipe it replaces, the entire system flows as well as a 2.25" open pipe, it was carefully designed that way by good engineers with access to powerful computers.
Well I do run in excess of 220 ponies.
Also there's a weight saving from CAT removal, albeit small.
-
I have one on mine. I think it makes a better noise than most other aftermarket exhausts. It also fills the rear bumper recess quite well
Mine is a de-cat so there's a tiny performance increase from removing the restriction.

It's hard to tell but to me that turbo looks good.
Anyone else?
-
What's the performance of the car like? If the damaged turbo has not affected how the car drives then you could just leave it.
Do you have a picture of the damage?
Who did the mapping?
As for a replacement turbo speak to Xman on here. Lots of choice and probably a good bit cheaper than Darkside.
If you re-map it again then I would highly recommend you delete the EGR. The resulting fault light can then be mapped out as part of the re map. Xman does EGR deletes too I think.

As above just keep it if you like it
Unlocking is about £20 when I last did it

I ruined a pair of fronts in under 30 mins at Castle Combe. They are too soft for fast road use in the dry!
Fantastic as a winter tyre IMO, excellent in the wet!
