I have to drive mine with a very heavy right foot to drop below 400 miles to a full tank. I have achieved over 500 before and nearly 600 after venting the tank.
The worst economy I had was for the first two weeks I had the car before I went to stage 1. Even now with a bigger turbo and not far off double stock power it is still more economical than it was as stock!

Meanwhile Joe goes to look how much a 1.8Tsi Yeti can be had for...

A stock intercooler with 230hp is not going to work! Okay it will for say an overtaking manoeuvre but it you drive fast for more that a few seconds you'll notice the power drop off significantly due to heat soak.
As for a stock clutch taking that power, some do, some don't. There are a few, including me that run in excess of that through the stock clutch and DMF.

And the wife??

What a nice pink flowering Hawthorne tree! Fabia looks good too...

I had loads of other paintwork done so hard to say. At a guess £200+ for both sides stripped right back and re-sealed.
-
If the car has other issues then scrap it...
If you've looked after it and you like it then get it fixed, better the devil you know!
-
Looks identical to my sills before I had em' re-done. Once the sealer starts to break away like yours has they rust pretty fast!

Actual farmers don't get time for this....

I'm going to go out on a whim and say it's just like a stock Fabia vRS but just better in every way!

Ross this is a terrible shame. It was going to be a monster!
Can I pay you to finish it for me? Lol

Has anyone cured headlight by just tightening pd150 bolts a bit 'extra'?

It's a bit of a fiddly job if you're not that way inclined.
You have to take the glove box out completely. I then used a pair of tweezers to get the new bulb in.
The glove box scratches VERY easily so be careful!

Federal RSR's here. Very grippy, hard wearing and cheap.
The Uniroyal Rainsport 3's we're very good IMO, but too soft for summer use they wore away in no time once spring arrived.

I got some pioneer ones off Ebay.
They were specially for the Fabia and fitted perfectly.

Hello,
I have for sale a set of 4 alloys off my Fabia.
They have been on my car from new, not cracked, buckled or bent.
They were powder coated in sparkle silver about 4 years & 40k miles ago. They are marked - see pic. They could do with a refurb or if your not as fussy as me, just a good clean.
Reason for sale: I fitted some black vRS alloys which I quite like so I'll stick with them!
I'm not posting them sorry. If you want to arrange your own courier then thats fine by me. I can meet locally within reason.
Location: 3 miles south of Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
No centre caps and no tyres - I do have an Avon ZZ3 on about 4mm, the buyer is welcome to it.
£120. No offers please.
I'm a long term member of Briskoda, lots of people on here have purchased from me previously!

I have to agree that the charging infrastructure is a bit unreliable.
Since I got my Leaf I have only used it for commuting and local journeys. It's just not been worth the risk for me taking it further afield. Shropshire is a bit of the beaten track for rapid chargers.
I very nearly took the Leaf to London for a weekend away a few weeks back but it would have taken 5 hours each way. Just one service station off-line could have ruined the weekend for me and my passengers.
In the end I took my Fabia vRS - 90mph most of the way, 2.5 hours door to door and the fuel light didn't even come on. Zero range anxiety!
I love my Leaf but there's no way I'd have it as my only car!
The Soul look great Richard, maybe I'll get one when my lease expires on the Leaf!

Hi Joel.
I know of a pretty cool way to invest in Solar panels if your into a more ethical investment.
It's call the Belectric Big 60 Million. You basically help fund UK solar farms.
As far as I know you just buy bonds for £60 each and you get a 6% ROI.

I toasted my RS3's in under half an hour. They are way too soft for track work, unless it hammers it down. What tyres would people recommend. is it worth getting a set of ns2r or shall i just stick to me uniroyal rainsport 3's I am planning on doing an odd trackday this summer.
I now run Federal RSR's, they are grippier and harder wearing, much better on track IMO.
I'm probably not going to be able to make this now so I'm taking myself off the list.

The bloke on the bike needs to get out more.
She's not exactly cruising on the motorway while chomping on Lucky charms is she!!
