hutchysrs50's post in Rear window handle was marked as the answer
Add a picture.
The handle has two parts, one slides to the side slightly allowing you to push it on and then slide back locking it in place.
Thinking yours might be missing the sliding piece or you haven't slid them open in the first place.

No they are great, no need to send them back.
They work no problem and are nice and easy to fit

If your just wanting cheap I'd say 1.9 SDI, cheapest to run, tax and insure I'd think!

Where did you see / read it?
Is it not for a 3 button flip key, when you hold the boot button the boot pops up.

hutchysrs50's post in Door opens/closes too easily was marked as the answer
You can change them but it isnt an easy 2 minute job im afraid.
im fairly sure you need to remove them from the inside of the door if you get what i mean, like remove the door card, window, regulator and carrier, then pull it through that way.
They are known as the door strap somtimes? ... i cant think of the proper name myself right now.

I just use pointy nose pliers and yank it out. Done it a million times when pulling the panels off to fit sub and amps etc.

hutchysrs50's post in engine swap was marked as the answer
Should be a straight swap, no coding for injectors on these, not like mondeos which is a faff!
I also wouldn't rule out the engine that quickly! They are good for over 300,000 really, seen some with more than that.
