  1. Go to have a track day and have an off on a track like Bedford or Combe. Likely no damage but it'll bring home to you what its like when it goes wrong. Rather than on public roads. Evo drivers...nice to see the stereotype holds true.
  2. I've got mine mate. Thanks. Looking forward to the event and meeting everyone. Should be great fun.
  3. What are the roads like up there? Many potholes? If I didn't know it was Scotland I'd say you were in Spain
  4. Good pics Higgy. I'll use yours as my avatar P.S That guy in the Escort was a boss at drifting. Easily the best.
  5. Asked exactly the same question mate. Response: The programme for the morning is signing-on from 07:30 – 08:20; safety briefing at 08:30; sighting laps at 09:00, then open pit lane until 12:30 when the morning session ends and the circuit closes for lunch. The sighting laps are usually completed by around 09:15 and the circuit is open for business immediately after that. For £99 for Combe, which is a proper circuit that I like, couldn't refuse.
  6. I thought the smoke was a deliberate tactic to blind any potential overtakers JAMES BOND STYLE!
  7. Will do mate. Sorry to hear about the car as well. Any idea what's wrong? Turbo?

  9. Does anyone know the name or website of the photography company who was doing photos on the day? Might chase them up and see what pics they have of our session.
  10. Makes a nice noise Jas. Black around the edges of the frame makes me think peep show Like it was a secret recording!
  11. I'm just so glad I've got 4th down at Bedford booked because I'm itching to get back on track now. Thanks again to Jas for organising and letting me on.
  12. Brilliant Korban. Phone call had me laughing loads. Dash of your car looks as good as the outside. Was good talking to you on the day
  13. Was same for me. Cornering at speed will make you nervous too as there is a lot of body roll. Had some good side ways action on greasy track especially at Combe last year too. You'll get a fair bit of road or track noise at 80mph+ as well. Especially if the upper door seals aren't perfect (mine weren't). But I never completely lost it in the Fabia. Not the sort of car that just goes away suddenly.
  14. You mean you won't have remapped and upgraded the brakes by Sept? The 15 min track sessions at Combe have to be the quickest 15 mins of my life. Too much fun adrenaline/fun.
  15. Liked it Martyn. You were taking good lines throughout. Why were people parking in the chicanes? Not a Skoda and the footage is shaky but here you go:
  16. Nice pictures Manny. Was good to meet you and here how you were finding the A8. My footage is here: It's shaky thanks to windscreen mount. Will be upgrading soon.
  17. Was a really good day. As said, weather was a bit rubbish but track was mostly dry :sun: . Got to meet some new people and say hello to old faces. Just looked at my cam footage and it's horribly shakey! Will upload it anyway
  18. The Megane stand is over on the other side near the big toilet facilities (Tower entrance). I'll make sure to wander over.
  19. For track only, the fact it's 14-15oC and if it doesn't rain for the two previous track sessions before ours, then track will be quite dry. It's going to rain on Saturday, no doubt, just a question of when.
