  1. I love the ease of application, but I don't think I'd like the honeycomb thing. I'd love to see some close up shots.
  2. So, in my mechanical ignorance, I had absolutely NO clue what this thread was about. has enlightened me a bit. So, the benefit is better response? What exactly do you mean by that? Does the car feel quicker off the mark just because the engine is more secure?? Do you require just one rear bush, and one front bush?
  3. Had to have a double take at that last photo. I was like, "there's NO WAY he drives about in it THAT low" and upon examination, I noticed the sneaky choice of parking. I'm still wondering how you get about, though. Looks like you could face some 'interesting' bump dodge experiences.
  4. I'll break mine and give you the part you need. Just £5k.
  5. If I went for aftermarket it would be a set of OZ or something, not cheap rep junk. Any experience with Superleggeras on the vRS, Billy? I was looking at 17's in them, but wondering if they'd look a little lost, since they tend to look smaller than they are.
  6. This. I got a full set of discs and pads for about £150 I think. Decent job.
  7. What? The FRV isn't giving you sufficient road thrills?
  8. You've sold the JOM's pretty well on here, but I don't think they're suitable for the vRS, correct?
  9. Very helpful Billy. Thank you! Good to hear you commend the feel of the spiders. I assumed something lighter would feel better. I'm sure they've changed them over the years, so which s3 alloys are you coveting??
  10. It's your car. Sometimes other forum members (myself included) can be a bit quick to pass judgment. If you like the look, go for it. Don't expect any performance/practical benefit as I doubt there will be any.
  11. Agree. I've seen this on a DC5 and I can't appreciate the look.
  12. Good link there, Billy Would you say et30 is what you should be looking at for getting her flush/tiniest poke?
  13. Just on this subject, is the width of the wheel irrelevant to the offset? For example, if a 7J wheel needs et 35 to be flush, will an 8J need et 42?
  14. I think I remember you saying something about it being 'tricky', or was that something else?? The reason I was looking for an OEM Skoda black leather one was because I didn't like the idea of cutting and botching plastic trim. You didn't document the trim cutting I don't think, did you? I might trying this. I haven't got an upholstery stapler in the house, but I'm sure they're not that expensive.
  15. lol... well, it's clean now, so time will tell.
  16. Are the rear mats in good condition? If they're available, I'm interested.
  17. I've a few modifications, but the engine stuff was done before I got it. The bay looks nothing like yours, though. Need coilovers and a set of light wheels of some kind, so keeping my eyes peeled, and I just ordered a cruise control kit from the dealer. btw, your wife must be very understanding. Mine is, but she has a limit, and I don't think I'd get away with the stuff you do!! lol
  18. Standing ovation required  It's taken me TWO DAYS to get through this thread from beginning to end. I've read pretty much every post. It's an heroic modding adventure, and I loved it. If I was the envious type, I would be the same colour as those Bentley's!!! Seriously, where do you guys learn to tinker with the wiring and mechanics? I'd love to be able to do this.
  19. Could this be enough to cause water ingress??
  20. Too big for the grille I think, but the flat rear version would fit the back obviously. The mk1 Oct is 80mm, but I think the Citigo is 85mm, but twilight mod Rob should be able to confirm. However, there's a new Skoda Rapid coming out with the same style of badge, and I'm hoping that it's 80mm.
  21. Right, I thought I had this sorted. But, realised today I've still got a bit of a leak from somewhere. I've just removed the driver side wheel arch and it's full of muck. This is likely the reason for my water ingress, right? What does this muck do that causes the water to come in? Is there any permanent fix while I've got the arch liner off?
