  1. Well said  , in my opinion anything is a big improvement on Leyland, so I can certainly live with the fact its not an original mini lol!
  2. "Sports micro hearse" hahahahahahahahaha!!! Brilliant!!! I saw you sold the MX5, are you getting rid of the Furby too?
  3. The price is very good!! Love Clubmans! A colleague of mine just sold a Cooper Works Hatch to get a family car "boring" haha, I have had a pleasure being in that car as a passenger and it was totally awesome, very very quick! Good choice, I have a very soft spot for a 1 series M sport Coupe or Convertables myself, wish I could justify spending the money!
  4. It is the 3.9% APR but only on certain models, hence the 112bhp D and not the 143bhp SD. I am lucky at the moment to be able to get the lower APR hence the whole package seems so good!
  5. Hope the Furby went to a good home! I'm getting over 2K off the list price due to a couple of generic discounts, shopping around and putting 2 dealers agains one another, haven't been easy (as far as dealers are concerned the cars sell themselves therefore they don't need to give discounts) so now in theory I should be placing the order yet I'm hesitating and not sure why hence the thread!!!
  6. As much as I would love a Cooper S, doing the miles I do having a Petrol turbo is just not viable and there is no point getting a second hand car because if I'm not getting a brand new car I will just keep my Furby. It is the Bmw own! Toyota is the old 1.4D which is a Mini One Coopers come with a 1.6D which used to be a Peugeot PSA engine and now is BMW own, which is 112bhp stock and 149 with a remap
  7. Thanks Chris, thats a good review there. The SD was what i originally looked at but as they are not doing the same offer on those (3.9APR vs 12.9APR) works out hell of a lot more expensive. Bmw specialists Evolve do a remap for a D 149bhp which makes it almost an SD!!!!!! What do you drive now if you don't mind me asking?
  8. My mum has one too haha, no probs with hers a 20k miles so far. With regards to repairs it would all be under warranty etc and all servicing up to 50k would be included, hence doing a lot of miles it makes sense. It is nice to hear that you don't rate the build quality highly, exactly what i'm looking for and why I didn't put the post on the mini forum as much like here we all love our skodas hence we will rate them by default lol. I was looking a Octy's Vrs, which is exhactly the car that I wanted to start with but the finance quote I got wasn't viable due to the APR etc :(
  9. Estate agent.........hmmmmm, didnt think of that one. The one I specced has £3500 wort of options lol, the one thing I found very attractive is there are lots and lots of options available so you can have exactly what you want. PS:Have you sold your Fabia??? Been reding the citigo project.......simply awesome
  10. Not sure why, the "girl" thing did cross my mind lol, than again I don't really care what other people think I have been mocked many times for driving a Skoda and with regards to size of the car itself I specifically want a little go cart as I spend 12hours a day behind a wheel of an Artic Lorry.
  11. I have just posted a Topic on the matter in General Car Discussion http://www.briskoda....t-do-you-think/ thread but also thought I will post a similar one in here as Furby drivers a likely to understand me more lol. Have been offered a super deal on a Brand New Mini Cooper D (fully loaded, factory built to my spec, not a pre reg), monthly payments work out cheaper than a Fabia II Monte Carlo Tdi with a hand full of options. My Vrs Furby is getting on a bit now, I've covered 45K miles in last 2 years of ownership hence thinking of a brand new car, but still absolutely love the Furby. I do know they are very good fun on twisty roads and are probably one the best handling hatches. So was wondering of what you people thought of minis!!!!???? This is the pic of what I'm looking at:
  12. Just curious to find out what people think about New Minis!!?? Went in with a relative to drop a Mini in for a service.........saw a poster.......sat down to get a quote......took one for a drive and now considering buying one! Its a brand new Cooper D with all the toys........ thinking in black with black wheels. Currently drive a Fabia Vrs Tdi which i love but due to clocking up 45K miles in last two years due to work i'm thinking may be its time to get a brand new more economical car. The car itself RRP is £19700 but due to a good discount and low rate finance it works out cheaper monthly than a Fabia Monte Carlo Tdi that is cheaper and NO Vat :S . In theory I should be sold but hesitating a little so was wandering what you lot think.
  13. Mine is : Semka_ Working on adding a few of you!
  14. I will hopefully be there sunday, last minute day off so will be in the main carpark.
  15. Thats exactly what I would personally do, have also witnessed someone doing exactly that when the trailer wasn't on fire
  16. Used to wear Superdry when Cult clothing used to sell it and very few knew about it, a bit too common and "in your face" for my liking now. Tend to go for G-Star now. I do like expensive clothes but hate anything with massive obvious lables on them as I pay £££ because they make me feel good and not for everyone else to know if that makes any sense. Do love some PRIMANI (primark) t shirts too!
  17. I have a garage full of Ale and wine (20 odd cases of Speckled Hen and 15 odd bottles of £12 a bottle Merlot) , always buy loads when it on offer so save in a long run, you are on a winner as far as i'm concerned!
  18. Cheers  for the quick replies guys! Tried to push it as hard as I could but will give it another go in a min!
  19. My Rear washer stopped working, on inspection I found that it disconnected in the engine bay just next to the bulkhead but when connected its leaking heavily, my suspicion is that there supposed to be an O ring on the connection, can anyone confirm this??
  20. Now thats not fair! It is such a bloody nightmare finding one in a good nick these days
  21. I have a damaged passenger front door card so after a replacement one, there are a couple of Sport ones on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-SKODA-FABIA-LEFT-FRONT-DOOR-CARD-TRIM-6Y0-867-011-S-/400230269623?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5d2f9542b7#ht_1801wt_956, they look the same in the pics but was wandering if anyone knows for certain? Cheers
  22. I would rather spend a little less and go for AP over Weitec but if spending extra will give me longer life span that would be worth it. Was that a Koni fixed kit or Coilovers? All I'm concerned about is: Are the coilovers similar in quality and internal spec to static kits, or is having the ability to adjust makes them work harder and therefore sacrifices the lifespan (lifespan of a standard shock and spring is deemed to be 80-100K). Wouldn't really want to end up spending £500 on a new kit every year or so due to the kind of milage I do lol!
  23. Was going to go for a Koni STR.T or a similar fixed suspension kit. Considering Coilovers now, more specifically AP as they are in my price range and getting very good reviews on here. I do around 20-30K a year and hoping to keep my Fabia Vrs for the forceable future, so the question is Will Something Like AP last 60-80K ?????
