  1. Fitted my Sharan springs just now, same as ScottHowie only took 2min. No tools used, didn't even require a jack. Curious to see if it makes any difference, if not £4.12 is not the end of the world!
  2. I have owned quite a few cars now, the most memorable for reliability were: Renault Laguna Mk1 Enough to put me off french cars for a long time. It was like a brand new car when I bought it with full service history, one owner from new, very low miles and a month later started to fall apart like there was now tomorrow, incidentally most were very expensive common faults . Vauxhall Astra mk4 1.7TD Had 120K or so on the clock when i bought it, I have covered 36K miles in a year doing several oil changes and a set of front pads, got more in PX than I paid for it Vauxhall Vectra B Sri 140 Had this for 3.5 years just regular services and some minor wear and tear item, got rid as the gearbox was on the way out which I would say is nothing unusual for a car with 170K on the clock. Vauxhall Astre mk4 Sri 1.8 Had this for 3 years, covered 60K with no issues what so ever, again just general minor wear and tear and servicing. Mk1 Fabia Vrs , only had it a year so far, with no major problems to report (touch wood). Conclusion: Personally would not buy another french car in a hurry, was going to buy another vauxhall as in my experience they were mega reliable but got bored and decided to go for a VAG car. IMO every brand has its reputation (we Skoda drivers should know about it more than others), but i think it all comes down to "Luck of the draw" when buying a car, no brand is exempt from its faults and horrors, and its also hard as people generally choose to talk about bad experiences when it comes to cars rather than good ones.
  3. Have a search on Yell or google, there bound to be more reputable independent companies in your area.
  4. I just had 4 Kumho Ecsta Ku 39 , did allot of research prior to buying and very impressed with them! £62 a corner inc fitting for a 205/40/17, worth a look IMO!
  5. As above really, was wandering if anyone else on here is using Instagram app on their iPhone. Now I'm not a master when it comes to photography, far from it in my opinion but I do love taking allot of random pictures which have always been stored on my computer rather pointlessly. Recently my cousin who takes photography very serious has got me join Instagram. I have only got 3 followers but it feels nice that some other people can appreciate the pics.
  6. If only I knew pumps like this existed......... Is the 6L Pela 600 the one I should be looking at?
  7. This is the kit I was looking at: eBay Link
  8. That was not the point, I would not drive tired and would pull over and rest , I wasn't talking about myself as mine other road users safety is very important to me. That was actually a point brought up by a Group of Traffic officers whilst doing a survey of Professional Drivers which I participated in at a Truck stop last week, seems like a large number of goods vehicle drivers are complaining about the matter and the fact that being a Professional Driver you can get prosecuted for "Driving Without Due Care and Attention" and loose the License for offences like fog lights yet the car drivers just get away with it!
  9. Traffic green or yellow green I'd say are the closest. If i was doing all 4 i would personally go for a lighter green just to highlight them a touch, but thats a personal choice!
  10. Tech1e!............. Green? ..............Never! lol! I actually quite like this blue, looks a similar colour as used on Golf mk4?
  11. Lol that was my thought!
  12. I know its quite an old thread but, People with Fogs on drive me mad. With regards to your comments Eccleshill all I will say is: Try driving an artic and we'll see how your tired eyes after a 13hours at work and 9 hours or so driving at night will cope with foglights dazzling you and weather you'll be able to tell the difference between Fog and Dlr Brightness!

  14. I had mine for just over a year now, it is the smallest car I have ever owned and absolutely love it! Handles great, very comfy for a little car (I've done just short of 20k in a year), goes well and cheap to run. Do have to say I still miss the Vectra I used to own 5 years ago but wouldn't swap the furby for anything.............may be an Octy Vrs in a few years time.
  15. I'm looking at springs at the moment too, never heard about FR bumpstops....... very interested if you should may be get some too!
  16. I've changed the covers on my rear seats and didnt find it that difficult, you find the easiest way to do it half way through! I have thought of getting some aftermarket elements of ebay and having a go mysel. Keep us updated if you do decide to tackle it and how it goes
  17. £9 delivery is the only thing that put me off buying from Theskodashop, so ordered mine today from the dealer over the phone and a 15 mile round trip for collection will cost less than £9. IMO £9 delivery is a rip off
  18. Since when the bulbs at halfrauds are cheap :S lol +1 for Nightbreaker
  19. I think mine has red, I'll check tomorrow for you and let you know!
  20. I just fitted some Osram Night Breaker + bulbs and highly rate them, a great improvement, £15 of eBay. I do around 80miles a day in the dark and don't even feel the need to use my full beam!
