  1. Nice. What's going on the the number plate plinth ? Is it bigger than the plate ?
  2. Our Jungle Green 170 Elegance now shipping, but now not picking up till next weekend :-( Can't wait that long....
  3. Nice to see the City wheels and the rear LEDs
  4. Yeti leather seats are leather on the face and artificial across the rest of the frame.
  5. How come ours (similar spec, but no DSG) took 6 weeks ? :-(
  6. Mr Dealer Man called - Reg. No. selected. Not sure I want to pick-up the car during the madness of the 1st March ;-)
  7. Mr Dealer Man just called, Yeti#2 now built (end-Dec order) a so should be a 14 Plate. Will have to swap winters over before the end of winter ;-)
  8. How about this for green : my old 7 Superlight R  Jungle Green is as close as I can get on a FL Yeti
  9. Yep - part safety (reaction time), part to be different from the current one and partly out of rash decision making.
  10. Outdoor Elegance 170 - due for week 6 build, 1st March reg (hopefully) Changes appear to be / are: Colour ;-) Front & back designs Wheels LED rear lights Alcantara 3 spoke steering wheel Haldex 5
  11. I never really enjoyed the torque curve on our previous PD 140 Passat Estate, especially after coming from a 1.8T petrol Passat estate, but the 170 CR engine is an absolute blast on A and B roads, with the super-smooth torque, that has a wider rev-band. Don't miss having to replace front tyres, worn down due to peaky torque surges from the PD engines
  12. Mine lasted 2 yrs - replaced by Aerotwins - much better !
  13. That road is not to hell, more to heaven (unless of course, the Inn is shut ! ). My BiL has also had poor services from them - suggest you write to the big man himself.......
  14. Nice ! I didn't go DSG - how have you got on with your's on the Superb ? Enjoy your Candy White - great in the summer and when really dirty, but it drives my OCD cleaning habit mad !
  15. Ordered our new 170 Elegance Outdoor on the 28th Dec, with 0%/3yr servicing. Jungle Green, standard Annapurnas, heated things that can be heated, spare and TPMs. Have gone for LED rear lights and black leather / alcantara (rather than all leather). Dealer has just quoted week 7 delivery, so hoping for March/14 plate registration.
  16. Seem to be getting a good deal to renew our Yeti with a FL model. The L&K looks like an extra £4k of equipment for £2k (sunroof/park assist/Columbus etc.) - none of this stuff essential, but "nice". I'm not sure, as I'd like the heated screen and DAB radio and a few other smaller bits - basically would be spending and extra £500 on the Elegance on essentials. Is there a collective view on the attractiveness/value of the L&K and would the dealer have more of a margin on an L&K rather than an Elegance ? More importantly - what's the brown leather like ?
  17. Doh - I have it stuck in my head that it's called Forest Green
  18. I'm trying to find the recent HD video (Youtube ?) of the Forest Green FL Yeti doing its stuff in a European forest somewhere. It's the video with no commentary and "gentle" music - with the yeti crossing the log bridge (and not one of these Russian videos with the rave music !) I'm trying to show SWMBO'd of the Forest Green in action (my choice), rather than Candy White .
  19. Just back from a test drive in a vRS TSi estate (it was very ) - very nice, swift and quiet, but slighty more unsettled on rough roads compared to the Yeti (and not that faster in real world driving) I'm in a quandary, but SWMBO is up for another Yeti  I am currently flicking through a pdf version of the new Yeti brochure
  20. Somewhere in/near the Cairngorms ?
  21. Great video, especially as there is no commentary, with a good showing of Jungle Green
