  1. Folks, I've been scrolling through the options in the Maxidot on my new vRS and when I get to the Service Interval it shows nothing? Now, I didn't leave the screen on for long on that option so that could be the reason. Should it just show it straight away as soon as I scroll to that option - if so does anyone have any idea why ot not showing anything. The car only has 280miles on the clock. Rich
  2. Hi folks, The link is to my Flickr page - not automotive related (but I might start experimenting). I also climb/hike and cycle and the images there reflect that - http://www.flickr.com/photos/43464304@N05/ There is also a link to my ePHOTOzine page - http://www.ephotozine.com/u9586 - ePHOTOzine is a great website for uploading images - not just Landscape but sport, action, Macro et al. Well worth a visit and free if your interested, I've been a member there for years now - great bunch of people that will give constructive criticism. Rich
  3. Nice shot - I took a shot of the moon with my Sigma 50-500mm in December but it was a full one, not quite as atmospheric (no pun intended) as this one. Excellent image. Rich
  4. I've just taken delivery of a vRS TDi which I've had on a lease deal. The car comes with free service & maintenance for 3 years and I was wondering if anyone out there has had experience of this product? Does anyone know what is covered and what is excluded? The sales manager told me that all was included except tyres and I could have the work done at any Skoda dealer. Rich
  5. I use a Sony but used to use the Zen - the sound quality is excellent on both. Rich
  6. In the big freeze (December) I checked the tyres on my works car, the recommended pressure was 38 front and 41 rear - they were all down by about 10psi due to the cold. One poster noted the TPM was playing up too - they did on the works cars as soon I we got upto any kind of speed the TPM came on but when checked the tyres were fine. Rich
  7. In the manual it says H1's which is correct? Rich
  8. I've just bought an Octy vRS (new) and I'm actually quite impressed with both the dipped and main beam - they seem to be better and brighter than my old 4.5 year old Mondeo ST. That said, I will be driving on the continent soon and will require a set of bulbs. SO, I've been reading this thread and would like some advice. If I'm going to buy new bulbs then they need to be better than the fitted ones - all round. Can anyone recommend indicator plus all rear bulbs - perhaps a kit. but I'll be buying decent main/dipped. Do I need H7's for the dipped and H4's for the main? Any advice will be welcomed. Rich
  9. Nope - it's not standard in the manual. I've just taken delivery of my vRS manual and it was an factory fitted accessory. Rich
  10. Nope - I already viewed that topic and it's a different system in the FL Octavia. Anyone any ideas if it can be done?
  11. I sold my Mondeo ST TDCi yesterday at WBAC and got exactly what they quoted online. The trick is to make sure that you fill in the defects page as accurately as possible - that way they don't reduce the offer. Rich
  12. I've heard that in the pre-FL Octavia vRS there was a way to get the true speed displayed in MPH. I have just taken delivery of a 2010 vRS diesel with Maxidot and would like to do the same - is it possible? Rich
  13. I've just taken delivery of my vRS Diesel today. Only ordered it in the middle of December so really quick - I was lucky as it's a cancelled order. Love the car - extras are Maxidot and Rear Parking Sensors. Rich

    HI

Hi folks, I'm new here - I don't normally join motoring forums but this one does look really informative. I'm in the process of getting a new Skoda Octavia vRS diesel (hopefully this Saturday all being well). It'll be my first Skoda owned but I've driven the Octavia vRS (petrol MK I & II) at work and found them to be excellent cars. Rich.
