  1. thanks @PetrolDave, I'll drop it in to the mechanic and advise of the suspicion of the ABS wheel sensor
  2. thanks @spindlegridley, interesting to find out if any others have seen the same issue and if/how they were able to resolve it
  3. When this occurred several times before, during a drive all the warning lights would turn off and adaptive cruise control, Park Pilot would all function normally again. However I have observed that within the same journey, all the warning lights could turn on again - it was very intermittent, now it seems permanent. Originally, the warning lights seemed to coincide with when I washed the car - as if moisture was causing the issue, though it would also happen on dry days. We had a very wet March here in Ireland and that was when the issue started again, though this may be just coincidental
  4. It measures at 11.95v and 14.53v so battery looks ok
  5. Thanks lads. I'll check the voltage today, what voltage should I be expecting started and unstarted?
  6. Battery seems fine. Never struggles to start bought a new one approximately one and a half years ago
  7. Hi Per this video, I am getting a lot of error codes on start up (sorry but I couldn't change the orientation): This series of codes appeared several times before but only lasted for a few days and then went away, this time they appears every time I start the car for the past 4 or 5 weeks. Since they previously appeared then disappeared, I assumed they were not validly showing any physical problem with my car. Has anyone seen such instance of all these error appearing? and if so, what did you need to do to resolve it? Thanks a lot Fergal
  8. hmmm - from a close-up photo I'm now thinking maybe they are ultrasonic sensors for the alarm? thanks @langers2k!
  9. Hi Above the gear stick in the roof panel are these 2 very small lights (these are not the map reading lights that come on when you open the door) which provide a very small yet useful amount of illumination to the gear stick area when driving. Only today did I notice that there are two similar rear-facing lights which do not seem to work (there's something else in the middle between these 2 lights but I don't know what it is). My question is do these rear lights (I assuming that's what they are) work for others? Could there but a blown fuse that is preventing these lights from coming on? Thanks! Fergal
  10. @Bellows sorry for the big delay on replying to this - but yes - didn't use the original tweeter wire, and yes, great sound improvement but tweeter sound is a little bit too bright so used the graphic WQ to pull down the treble a bit
  11. thanks a million @weyland! Wasn't even considering this but now definitely will order and install - cheers
  12. I ended up gluing magnets to the back of the crossover and attached to the door with the magnets. The wiring for me was very straightforward I cut off the original connector and spliced in the speaker specific connector.
  13. Hi I'm installing upgraded speakers in my 2015 Octavia and they are a separate woofer/tweeter unit with crossover. Any suggestions as to where I should mount the crossover? Also - there are separate wires for the woofer and tweeter - I'd be surprised if these wires carried different signals (ie; high freq. for the tweeter and low freq. for the woofer) - or do they? Can I use the wires that go to the woofer connector and connect them to the input of the crossover? Also - the black section I have marked as "What is this?" - anyone know what it is? Thanks for your help! Fergal
