Two squeak free Yetis, and now on my second squeak free Karoq, maybe I'm lucky regarding squeaks.
  2. Watch your tyre loading, many years ago my bro in law asked me to look at his 3 month old Cortina estate as it was handling funny. He had loaded it with a flat pack kitchen the previous day. Both back tyres had egged on the inner sidewalls. Being too tight to pay delivery really paid off!
  3. I found out rather quickly that the handbrake on a Cavalier was useless to lock up the back wheels, a 5p, 50p, moment ensued.....
  4. On my Advanced Police course I got a rollicking for left foot braking a manual Cavalier SRI. Each situation requires different actions, apparently Senators were not meant to go sideways either, who knew?......... Lots of fun to be had back then. Back on track. I have a recalcitrant left leg, so I drive a DSG. I have had a Roomster, 2xYeti's and 2xKaroq DSGs without a problem, I also have a BW35 Triumph 2000. I would left foot brake with a BW35, but I am in control, not a computer as in the DSG boxes. The carpet raising is a great idea, but check full accelerator movement is not restricted by raising the height under it.
  5. I'm on my second Karoq on 2yr PCH from Simpsons, not had any problems in 3yrs with either Karoqs or Simpsons PCH deals. I've had a Roomster and two Yeti's off them prior to the Karoqs. I hope to go back in October to order another Karoq for Feb/March 2022. The only caveat to that is VWFS don't do back to back personalised number plate change over, so they charge me to put my reg no. on after I've collected the car, as do DVLA. Also I only live 12 miles away, I don't know about distance PCH.
  6. I have an ancient Panasonic deck through a Cambridge A5 amp and Wharfedale Diamond 8.2 speakers in the house office. In the Garage, AKA The Doghouse, a pair of Stanton decks with a big old amp of unknown parentage, through a freebie mixer desk, and into a pair of 400w speakers of dubious antecedents. A set up purely for playing Northern Soul on.
  7. As Kenny R states, Press the A, Auto button, text to the parking (hand) brake button ON, and remember if all else fails, read the manual.
  8. And I thought we were doing well with Cavalier Sri 130's!
  9. If space doesn't allow for a large set of air horns, try a Stebel Nautilus, but if you have the car MOT'd, warn the tester if he has his head anywhere near it.
  10. Rural vehicle Porn? Behave! To get true rural atmosphere they even provided Doug, who is obviously missing from a village somewhere. That guy is more annoying than Mike Brewer, and that's a lot. But Oooh, a Unimog, Mmmm.
  11. When you open the boot lid after rain does a lot of water run down the sides? I had a boot lid on my first Karoq which did this, also a random occasional sloshing noise, and condensation. The dealer found no problem. I looked at the underside of the lid and found 3 small plastic plugs I removed one and water poured out, The plugs were still out when I returned the car after 2yrs, no more condensation or sloshing noise.
  12. I know how quiet it is just rounding about, I noticed a difference when I got the 1.6 diesel, which is not at all noisy for a cheap diesel. I've got used to it now though.
  13. My last Karoq tailgate kept getting watering in it and when I opened it some water would run into the boot. Obviously the dealer couldn't find a problem, but looking at the underside of the tailgate it found four small black grommets, I removed one, lowered the gate and watch water pour out. It cured the problem as it became self baling from then on.
  14. And have you ever investigated any collisions? Did the wheel come off during, or prior to the impact? Hence my mention of evidence to back up an assumption. Let the Police do their thing and wait for the result.
  15. I didn't see any other photos than the ones posted, I didn't see any red lights, nor did I see any evidence that they were in the same lane at the start of the incident. Mechanical failure could cause sudden lane 2 to lane 3 deviation, or any manner of vehicle movement. You make the assumption that the Lamborghini started the incident in lane 3 and just stopped. What evidence do you have that you have not disclosed to reach this conclusion?
  16. Without examining the scene, and the Lamborghini, to find the cause of its stopping, that's a sweeping statement to make.
  17. "The most striking change being made to ŠKODAs for the 2021 model year is their redesigned steering wheels." Hardly exciting news by Skoda, I can't wait.........😴
  18. It's a large disability buggy with a hard top. Coming to a retirement area near you!😁
