Drone shooting.
Though this would be the best place to post this. Combining 2 hobbies, the drone been relatively new to me (impulse buy in Feb with Christmas money) and this the first time attempting a car as the focus point. The above being shot with a dji mavic mini 1 and only edited on my phone with a free app. Music won't be to everyone's taste but is the type of music I've seen used on these types of videos. Let me know when you think. 😊

Anyone know what this is?
Looks like the top off a washing line prop.

Not happy
Pretty much, with me literally driving it home from the dealers and getting the fault I was more in favour of it going back into skoda to be looked at rather than the AA messing about with it in a gravel carpark on the woodhead pass.

Got the car back. Turned out to be a vac pipe had somehow come off on the intake, causing the problem. . Hopefully that's the end of it.

Thanks for the replys, was on the phone to the supplying dealer first thing this morning. With them being 80ish miles away they told me to call my local skoda (Rainworth sheffield) and get it booked in with them. .(although I had to do it not them 🙄) They can't look at it till Tuesday but I've dropped it off with them today because I'll be at work Tuesday. Rainworth said they will scan and see if the fault code is new or a stored one that has reappeared, if its new it will be skoda warrant that covers it, if its not they will contact simpsons skoda and they will have to pay for it. They haven't supplied me with any type of courtesy car thought(earliest Rainworth had a loan car available was the 19th, which I said I'm not waiting for), but the sales guy I dealt with at simpsons is giving me a ring monday. . .so I shall see what he has to say on the matter. . I'm hoping they can offer something for the inconvenience even if its not a courtesy car. I had 5 day drive away insurance which is now useless and by the time I get the car back my own policy will have begun.

So today I picked up my 68 plate 245 vrs. . 79 miles to drive home from the dealers, around 50 miles in . . . Orange engine light appears. Called the dealer up right away, they advised to pull over and get skoda assist out. Anyway the AA guy who came (very quickly). . Scanned the car and its showing - P-200600- intake-manifold/in-cylinder flow flap B1. Error message -flap sticks shut. Static fault. Hes left the code active so I can get it into skoda with it on (didn't want to clear it and it not return then skoda say there's nothing wrong) By the time all this was done the dealer I bought from was shut, but its a skoda used approved car, so my question is will a more local dealer take it in under warranty? If not am I within my rights to ask them to come and collect the car on a trailer etc? I'll be on the phone to them first thing in the morning, the sales guy I have dealt with isn't in all weekend, but I expect to get something sorted by them pretty sharpish. My day has gone from joy of getting a new car to just feeling deflated now.

Part number??
So today I went to look at a mk3 fl vrs 245. . And will be taking collection of it friday. While looking at the car I noticed whoever had owned it before must be related to Freddie kruger, all around the ignition slot is battered with key marks (the plastic bit that goes around the ignition hole and under the bottom of the steering column). . It's something I'll want to replace in the near future,so does anyone know the part number please? Thanks in advance.

2018 245 vrs
Yup I initially wanted a superb. . .was looking at sportlines(I wish wish put the 280 engine in the octy too) . Coz they are awesome looking and well kitted cars. . .but then I thought about the available driveway space I have and they are too big. . The l+k models do have lots of toys but looks wise the sportline wins for me. They don't gain that much over the octavia in boot size, but gain loads of rear leg room, which I don't need. I went to my local skoda dealer and they said unless you are carrying 4 adults regularly the superb is too big. So I looked round some octavias, set the driving position to what I would drive and jumped in the back and was amazed at the leg room it still had (I'm 6ft2)

2018 245 vrs
Bloody hell, these would tie your average car buyer in knots working out what to have and not, thanks for the links though, definitely helpful!! I will check this out, thanks!. . Me neither, its not a ltd edt. . So they would have been optional extras. . Have heated seats in my mazda, they are amazing. . When it's leather, with the alcantara in the octy it won't matter as much, certainly not enough to put me off. . .and front sensors, again not a deal breaker, most parking I'd reverse in and it has rear sensors. . So adequate. . . When I got my mazda it has everything that was an "option" for the period, which i was thrilled with, but in real terms. . I didn't use much of it at all.

2018 245 vrs
Hi everyone. Decided to fire my profile back up on here as I'm looking for a new car, used to use the forum alot for my mk1 fabia vrs (which is still have 10 years on) Anyway,I'm on the lookout for a 245 dsg octy vrs. . After loads of researching I did have my heart set on a 245 ltd edition (xtremes,heated/electric seats as standard) . . One of the main reasons was these are pre-GPF, but I also read they infact do have GPF. . I read they can cause some restriction issues and don't map up quite aswell as the pre-GPF cars. . This isn't be all and end all,but I will eventually want to get it mapped and probably tcu mapped aswell. (Comming out of a 300bhp mazda3 mps). . .with the octy been dsg I'm hoping the 60+bhp difference won't be too noticeable. Anyway, I've come across this -https://www.simpsonsskoda.co.uk/used-vehicles/13072861-skoda-octavia-2.0-tsi-v-rs-dsg-s-s-5dr/ Its 68 plate so will undoubtedly have GPF fitted, but I absolutely love Meteor grey and finding a ltd edition 245 in that colour is proving difficult. . Is there anyway of finding out full specs that particular car left the factory with using the reg plate? Or do you need VIN to do that?. . Every advert I've looked at has a generic list of features, so been able to find the exact spec may help me decide. Possibly someone on here know this car or previous owner? Any help or advice welcome. Cheers. Luke.
