Estate Elegance Purchase advice
Robbo Cop replied to tyrekicker's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
Here I go again about the damn timing belt..! Here in Ireland, Skoda insist that it's due (with w/pump, rollers etc) at 180,000KM or 110,000miles with NO time limit ... Just about to sit back with some popcorn to watch this episode of "Belt wars" Hope this helps (honestly, I do) ... Cheers, Rob -
Sounds like a VERY expensive headache tmg, if you want a DSG just change the car. Cheers, Rob

I would think (and I could be wrong) that all such software updates etc would be under the umbrella of the VAG group and they'd determine who gets what (Skoda Seat Audi VW) ... I did speak to Skoda Ireland and they informed me that the free update offer related to ECU software etc and NOT maps ... Apologies for only posting this now but Ive been very busy at work .. Cheers, Rob

Brilliant ..!

That's a pity but it was worth a try. Cheers, Rob

real world mileage for 2.0CR?
Robbo Cop replied to jonathan.tong's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
I forgot to add, I'm running on winter / snow tyres still and they'll be knocking off a couple of MPG ... HTH, Rob -
real world mileage for 2.0CR?
Robbo Cop replied to jonathan.tong's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
My Combi 170 CR TDI manual is returning 47 / 48, mostly motorway 70 / 85 mph ... Cheers, Rob -
Fair enough, hope you get this sorted. Please post your results when you can ... Best of luck, Rob

Hi Malawi, A lot of post's here about those sort of problems seem to point to faulty main battery's (low voltage etc). Might be worth checking that ... Best of luck, Rob
-
Thats great Steve, thanks for that. Rob

Thanks lads, The mirrors do fold when holding the lock button on the fob and unfold when the car is started ... I'm happy enough with that. Cheers, Rob
-
Just tried that Coops, it worked.! They didn't unfold when I unlocked it, what do you do? Thanks, Rob
-
Best of luck Raptor, let us know how it goes when you get around to it ... Cheers, Rob
-
Thanks Coops, I'll try that (I presume you mean the key fob?) Thanks Steve, does your's do it automatically when you lock / unlock it?

Thanks Gizmo ....

Hi all, Is it an option (I'm guessing via VCDS) to have auto fold mirrors on unlocking/locking the car? Cheers, Rob

Anyone retro fitted a Auto Dim mirror?
Robbo Cop replied to bryanp's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
I received that mirror from Raleri and had to send it back due to spots on it. They were all apologies and are sending another one (which they've checked and is fine). A minor hiccup but all should be well when its fitted. Cheers, Rob -
Hi raptor, No idea if Skoda UK are offering this, but why not fill in the form with your chassis no. and see what happens? Best of luck, Rob

What did you do with your Superb today?
Robbo Cop replied to sas1810's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
Superb 170, I got the fogs at www.maxtuning.ie. The 80W CREE's were €23 each, €50 for both incl. the resistor harness. Looks great, and far better light. Really finishes off the look of the car, but for me it's about the visibility at night which is much better. They're available on the net in loads of places but I wanted to fit them on the spot to make sure there were no errors... Job done. Good luck, Rob -
What did you do with your Superb today?
Robbo Cop replied to sas1810's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
I fitted 80W CREE LED bulbs to replace the fog lights, they give a far better and much whiter light matching the factory xenons very well. I did need resistors in line to get rid of the bulb failure warning on the dash. A very worth while upgrade for €50 (including the resistors, fitting is a doddle) I've already replaced the DRL's with LED's and they make a big difference too. Error free bulbs available from Super Skoda CZ (€21.50 delivered to ROI). I've got parking light bulbs on the way then that'll be all halogen free up front ... Cheers, Rob -
Hoverurb, Just celebrating that win today (any excuse really) ... In fairness, the pundits were saying the best two teams in the championship were Ireland and England. Cheers, Rob

Great to see "something" free gratis from a dealership  Winning the six nations was a nice bonus too.. :cocktail: Cheers, Rob
