Things to think about when collecting car at dealers
superbpete replied to Suprc's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
I had my Candy white combi delivered from Simpsons(Preston), should have arrived 14.30 arrived 18.30, near side rear interior light missing, plastic rear tailgate top side pieces falling out where the tailgate motors had been recalibrated metal mounting clips missing? the valet was shocking also water stains on the leather crumbs on the carpet, who had done the PDI on this vehicle? all sorted with phone calls to Simpsons with work carried out at my local dealership (Motorline-Dartford) costs being picked up by Simpsons. I have always had great service from Motorline, on my Mk1 Superb, Yeti, Octy or my new T3 combo. -
I had the same on my Yeti, changed all four Conti's for new Hankook Kinerg eco, all the noise gone and a greatly improved ride, I will be replacing the Michelin's on my white combi in the near future also.

MUD FLAPS - DO THEY DO THE JOB
superbpete replied to Shanco's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
I have a white Candy Combi with a Pan roof and they look great on it as does the black Monte Carlo grill, dark smoked lights at the rear and dark splitter on the front, they are a little small but as said earlier keep the muck down the lower half of the car. I have before frenched a set of longer flaps inside the OEM one's it still had no speed hump clearance issues, it worked well on my Yeti but its to cold and wet to do at present. -

Skoda Superb 2.0tdi Hi there, new to this forum, member of other clubs so its sure to be similar, I had bad exhuast fumes in the car, used Yeti site to diagnose the problem flexi pipe had come apart from the turbo, the gases are drawn into the car close by as this is where the fresh air inlet is for the climate control. The flexi pipe is held together with a welded spring which breaks letting it come apart and leak. Only skoda part available @ £600 ish plus the dreaded VAT plus fitting, what an absolute pig of a job. Now done, its back to the great car its always been. Any body else had this problem???????

Just had my dpf refilled at motorline Dartford an excellent service from the guys down there. Many dealers have never done this sevice as the oil pump normaly packs up before it needs doing and therefore the car goes down the scrapper as skoda say its not a fault, funny hoe VW sold all there old engines to Skoda when they had all the same problems with there old Passats.
