Well been out on the airport run today, and the car only seems to do this in a right hand turn..... suggestions anyone Apart from Turn left only lol...... i dont do NASCAR

Well having lived with this problem for a while, my front anti roll bar does require some attention i.e. bushes... but my symptoms are actually continuous i.e. when driving strainght, and affected by acceleration too (an increase in feel) but also with the clutch disengaged

Or get a professional buff and polish done

i have had this problem since last summer, so it happened when its warm or cold

Your help and advise is much appreciated, will have a look tommorow, or if not when i return on tuesday....

the fuses on top of the battery are ok, after a visual inspection

Ahhh, can anyone inform he how i can check/fix this.... Found the location, and am i right in assuming this may be why the aircon wont start, does it rely on the fan control unit? Just to clarify, i can use the normal heat/cool features (ECON) i think its called, and i all my setting work, i.e. windscreen, footwell, dash, recirculate etc. the olny thing that doesnt start is the air con, as said before fans dont kick in and there is no engine rev change

Right i have checked, no rad fans when i turn AC on, the AC fuse appears normal, will still change for spare when i get chance, wire appear normal and clutch still attached, test readout is 0 rpm and the system is fully gassed..... any ideas???? is there a relay or something that could be dead

Right, got car on ramp today, all connections seem ok, clutch is present, stuck for ideas now, and checked, when i turn AC on no fan kicks in :think:

Can anyone clarify if the pump is a SD7V16 and off another car, can it still be used as a doner for the clutch????

I will have a look this afternoon after work, just want to make sure im looking in the right place before i go buying spares

Is there anyone who could guide me on how to look for if mine is missing, when i turn on the AC and press the buttons to check the AC clutch speed i get a readout of 0, So i was told by skoda i would need a whole new AC fitting and regas etc.... costing ££££'s If mine is the same and just needs a replacement clutch i could get a doner one and fit it?

Hi, i am after a few codes being change on my Mk1 TDI Octavia 2001 I am mainly looking at changing: 1 ) Turning the EGR valve to its lowest setting 2 ) 2 of the Anti Hijack features turning on (Auto lock when car over 10mph & Auto Unlock when key pulled) I dont really want to attempt anything myself with the cheap kits from ebay, hence looking for someone who knows there stuff Any help appreciated I am located in the Burnley area Dave

Well i changed my ARB bushes at the strart of they year now they are creaking loudly on load, =( is there a rush to change them, they are already poly bushes (Not sure what make)

I am having same problems, checked the engine movement after i fitted a new dog bone mount and its wayyyyyy to much, worn out on both sides :wonder:

well at the time i did the shafts i had new flywheel & clutch and there was no wobble then and on a side not its now a solid flywheel

I had the drive shafts done about 3000 miles ago :(

No, but they were all i the green, nearly dead on, was watching the comp when they tested it, the guy even said it wasnt worth touching, come to think of it, the alignment was probably done during the front end rebuild, i assume its the engine mount as the car was shook to bits when the DMF died
