Same thing happened to me, but on a Monte with rear drums, I had to call Skoda assist, as like yours they were seized solid, he told me the same as you , said it was common , and that it was the jet wash getting water in the drums, never had this on any of my previous non vag cars.

Will have a look at them in the showroom , may do mine if it looks good, don't know if it will be cheaper to purchase a new top part in my cars colour than having it sprayed, have to-do some costing's.

Does anyone know if I get a M.F.D.Stearing wheel for a Monte , are the wires in the column for all the switches i.e. is it plug and play or will I have to wire them up.

Yes , have swapped the kit over , no different ,I, am thinking it must be the light unit. Strange.

Anyone any idea what this could be , had a set of 5000k H.i.ds from H.I.Ds Direct, fitted bulbs and ballasts, but the near side looked to have a yellow tint but the off side had a blue tint , contacted H.I.Ds and they sent another bulb fitted this still the same so swopped the ballasts , still the same , I then went over to H.I.Ds Direct they had a look and agreed it was different colours , they gave me a new set of bulbs , but still the same , I am now wondering if it could be the headlight lens, but cant see how, got H.I.Ds and my self baffled. Got to say H.I.Ds Direct were great about this.

Didn't know that , I thought all parts that needed to be checked should be , so I take that there are no parts hidden behind covers that could wear and become dangerous.

Just taken my Monte for its first M.O.T , passed no probs, but on the Advisory Items page they have written. 001 Under-trays fitted obscuring some underside components. 002 Engine covers fitted obscuring some components in engine bay. Does this mean that there is nothing under the covers that need inspecting and that they will not be removed for future test or is the first test more lenient than future ones. Cant see testers being happy to remove and refit any covers for the £39 M.O.T fee.

Thing is when H.i.ds looked at the pics. I sent , they agreed the bulbs did not look the same colour, if the wire made any difference I thought he would have asked me how I had installed them, will have a look when it gets dark , am wondering whether to swop the ballast around and see if this makes any difference, if they still look the same in darkness

Thanks ryno, just been out to have a look and yes there is a small label I totally missed it must be getting senile , both say 5000k , so I wonder why both lights when on don't look the same.?

Spoke to Hids , they said that there could be a mix up with the bulbs when they were packaged ,they are sending me another bulb , I sent them a photo of the lights and they said to change the drivers side that looks bluish for the new one, just hope he is right , as you know they are a pig to change. I have just looked at their web page showing the Terminator set and mine is exactly the same , their photo shows the same bulb covers as I have.

The fitting look the same but the bulb cover looks nothing like yours it is just plain, bet they use different bulbs depending on what they have in.

No sticker on bulb covers or any where else , just on the side of the box.Ticked H7 5000k.
