  1. Due to a change in circumstance, we are selling our 62 Citigo elegance. I know the usual ways of selling, Freedom boards and eBay etc, but considering the car is nearly new, does anyone have any other suggestions?!?

    Shame to see it go.

  2. Ironically the spoilers do come in primer initially but it was a case of "right place, right time". I happened to purchase a Seat Mii spoiler brand new from a Seat Dealer that was part of a cancelled order. It was already sprayed black and I thought it would go well with the Citigos black stripes, so I bought it! Fitted in under 5mins with Tigerseal then left to set for a few hours.

To be fair it's a subtle spoiler as it doesn't extend too much beyond what is already there on the roof, but when sprayed black it compliments the tail end of the vehicle very well, as it blends nicely in with the black window glass surround.

I also picked up some rear parking sensors as part of the deal with the spoiler, but I think I'm going to sell those!

  3. ...I think people are missing the point of this thread. I'm not saying I've done anything amazing. I just thought I'd share the fact that the Mii spoiler does fit in case any one had that question in future.

I tried to set up another thread about parts that fit the Citigo, Up and Mii but it got a bit off topic.

  4. Like I said, the weather has been rubbish and the car hasn't been clean for ages. Combine this with Christmas and I just haven't had chance to take pictures. However that being said I have some now, could someone tell me the quickest way to upload them? I haven't posted pictures on here for a while.

...and to all the doubters, why would I lie about fitting a spoiler? If you didn't know its virtually the same part number for all 3 vehicles therefore what I have done isn't exactly difficult. I just came by the genuine Black Mii spoiler and fitted it to a Citigo. The reason I posted early and without pictures is to let others know it could be done, as I thought it may be helpful.

  5. I run a Citigo for Driving instruction, one of the first to be used for this in the UK I believe!

Lovely little car and perfect for this. Don't worry about the stop/start aspect as this can be turned off as needed.

Avoid City safe, parking sensors and tinted windows as these are all things that can hinder the learning experience!

  6. Hello,

The Mii, Citigo and Up all have 3 parking sensors fitted as standard to the rear when ordered from new.

I'm looking into the official retrofit kit (same p/n for all 3 cars) but it apparently has 4 sensors! Is that correct? Will it work with PID? Do I get a de-activation switch?

    Help please! :/

  7. It's interesting to see them toying with the idea of a sporty looking Mii, combine that with the turbo Up! means there is hope!

The Citigo is evolving beyond its intended purpose, if they have a market for a vRS they will make one. It's all about the bottom dollar not "Fabia" and " Octavia" ethics!

  8. I think that for the sake of £40 you may as well just fix it properly with genuine parts. It's a virtually brand new car and I don't think sticking an £8 halfords mirror will be doing it justice. As much as it sucks, pay the £40 and retain a perfect oem look and fully working heated glass.

By the sounds of it, you will have nothing to stick the halfords repair glass to anyway, as they are designed to stick on top of a broken/shattered mirror.

Totally sucks you should have to pay anything. :(

  9. MickA, I too find the non permanent PID a little annoying. I tend not to bother using it on short journeys due the the time taken to install and remove. Now...I'm sure people would say "but it takes a few seconds", but for short trips you just want to jump in the car and go.

I just have to stop being lazy I guess! ;)
