I stupidly sat into my ivory leather seating 11 reg superb with a screw driver in my jeans back pocket !!. The result was a 3 inch score on the seat (no puncture). Does anybody have a cure for damage. Regards Fernrock

I live in Ireland and, drive a 2011 Superb with what I believe is v7 installed. I would not worry about crossing fields. Every time I approach or travel in a nearby tunnel opened early 2010 I actually cross water !!!

The only sticker I can find is one in the spare wheel well with mfgr date, type, finish etc and a long list of 3 letter/figure codes under "options" heading . There is no QG code listed, the nearest is GG1 Fernrock

Columbus sat nav map upgrade
fernrock replied to dicreamio's topic in Audio, Electronics and Security
Michael Keep us posted. I picked up my superb late march but, don't know what version maps I have. Roads in the area that were upgraded late 2009 are shown but, the Limerick tunnel (Aug 2010) is not shown. Fernrock -
On the maxidot select setup units consu/distance this will give an option of litres/100km or GB MPG if it is set to l/100km change to GB MPG. This will give all related maxidot readings, ie speed, distance and consumption in Miles or MPG as appropriate. Fernrock

Thank you --problem solved,--- manual was wrong. Fernrock

I have the same fault, but the manual says "R" position. I assumed this was for RHD cars. Must try it on the "L"

Keep It simple for me please :+)

Try 0000 password. It may be my mail you saw re the failure after 1 month. When it failed there was nothing at all phone related showing on the maxidot, it was as if there was no bluetooth at all fitted. As I mentioned in a follow up post -the dealer blamed the faliure on the fact that I received emails while on bluetooth !!. I find that a little hard to believe. -
Columbus: Phone via Bluetooth stopped working
fernrock replied to Brammeke's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
I have had the exact problem with my month old Superb--dealer fitted a new module. He did say they were having problems with HTC, I Phone and Blackberry, and it was happening on VW and merc. He maintained it was caused by receiving Emails while on bluetooth and filling up the memory !! -
You were right the module had failed. I queried the dealer as to how it could fail after only one month. He told me that the possible reason for the failure of the original unit was my phone was set to receive Emails !. They were having failures on units fitted to Scoda, VW and mercs with HTC, Iphone4, and, blackberry phones. (The one thing all these phones had in common was they could receive Emails) He also said to return if it failed again and, they would replace it again free.

Loud beep when phone connects with Bluetooth
fernrock replied to Superb Trondheim's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
I have just had the bluetooth module on my Superb (columbus) replaced (car 1 month old). Prior to the change I had the beep (which I liked) but now it is gone. If any body discovers how to turn it off, can you post as I would like to turn it on. In case anybody is interested, the dealer told me that the possible reason for the failure of the original unit was my phone was set to receive Emails !. They were having failures on units fitted to Scoda, VW and mercs with HTC, Iphone4, and, blackberry phones. Fernrock -
Thanks for that mannyo I suspected that was the case but, I was half hoping there may have been another reason. I will contact the dealer tomorrow. The car is only 6 weeks old with 1050 km. Fernrock

I have a new (2011) superb elegence, with the columbus Nav system fitted. Since purchased, my bluetooth phone (HTC Desire) worked perfectly. Suddenly on Friday the bluetooth ceased working. No problem with the phone as it works in another car. The dash MFD has no mention of phone facilities (search and pair etc) When I press the "phone" button on the nav console, it only mutes the radio. Pressing the "phone" button on the steering wheel has no effect whatsoever. Does anybody have any idea what might be wrong. Fernrock
