  1. Ah this thread again... Primarily I get it in the n/s rear foot well I had mine allegedly "sorted" by Prestige at the last service. Given the changing season, I shall have to test his work Time then to stow the nice vRS mats and get the replacements in. Only they're rubber and that makes more mould.
  2. Please don't fit them. I value my retinas and even if I do survive you passing, I don't wanrt to stuff my Furby into a tree
  3. Yup any decent motor factors plce will be able to advise you. Any ideas how I can the rear wiper blade off - its still on the original after three years but looked too much hassle when it came to replacing the fronts.
  4. Hi, Go easy on me as I don't frequent these forums much I have a Fabia vRS with a factory-fitted cruise control, which has a small problem. There is a 50:50 chance on engine startup that the cruise control will not engage. Hold - select - nothing! It seems (though only in my opnion) that this manifests itself when it comes to Autumn time i.e. wetter and colder. The only way to gfet it back is to reset my cycling the engine off then on. I had my dealer look for any faults pertaining to this at the last service; he said there was an error in the ECU and cleared it. So for the past 4 months it's been okay until now. Does anyone else have this problem? Is it a known issue? Cheers Neil
  5. Two months ago, my n/s rear tyre went flat. Half run in, there was after examination at the tyre shop a noticeable bulge in the tyre wall and so was scrapped. So feeling unlucky I had it replaced. Today with barely a few thousand miles on that tyre, I have another flat on the same tyre. Is there something I should be aware of or am I just unlucky? My vRS is running the standard 16-inchers, 45 profile on sportcontis
  6. Someone ought to produce an illustrated guide for doing just that
  7. Is there a config setting in the VAG-COM software for the sound? Or, where's the speaker?
  8. Rattling a bit more now. This could be a combination of plastic's properties at colder temps anf using lower revs when everyone is driving around really slow in this weather. Everything has a harmonic frequency old chap.
  9. "Pong", low fuel "Pong", temp 4 deg C or less How do I turn it off? It's not safe.
  10. Is it tight, Sir? Is it, hmmm? Oooh Kenneth!
  11. One way to tell is to get those mitts diiiirty by getting the bleeder out of its noddy and looking at its bum.
  12. I saw a bog standard 1.4 Fabia in RUgby today with what looked like 18 or 19 inch wheels. Damn thing looked like a tractor!!!
  13. O h I dunno. I took offence with meself, challenged me for a fight outside for which I duly accepted. I roughed meself up good and proper. Off to venture down the M40 in this appalling weather now :thumbdwn:
  14. Woodpecker, I had this last week and fixed it this week! Here's what *I* did (check your manual). Get a flat blade screwdriver, open the driver dooor. Insert driver in gap at bottom of panel. Up and out she comes. Check fuse 4 for breakage. Replace with mini-blade type 10A. You'll have a headight blow next
  15. Hal-frauds are doing the extra-white 50% xenon filled jobs for £18 per pair. Powerbulbs are nearer £25. None left in Leamington so I forked out for a standard affair. Very fiddly job innit, esp the headlight in front of the battery box!
  16. A headlight (dipped beam) blew yesterday (not having much luck with them!). Can anyone of the top of ther head tell me please what fitting this is? By the way, I'm looking at powerbulbs.co.uk. Anyone used these blue tint, xenon-esque blubs? Are they any good?
  17. -5C when I got up this morning! If it carries on like this, I may put an old blanket over windscreen. Zero outlay Read about (haor) frost here: http://www.weatheronline.co.uk/feature/wf231002.htm
  18. Remember to i) switch the wipers on immediately after you've melted the frost with water and ii) look smug at your neighbours with their sprays and scrapers. Always keep a scraper handy though ladies just in case you have to clear inches of snow from the bodywork
  19. Lambic I have to apologise for giving you the bum steer. What I thought was the fuse box cover is in fact a flap down cubby hole. In this is a black U-clip (god knows what for). It could be the flap or the loose clip causing the rattle I reckon.
  20. There are times when you shoudl really say to a poster, "get your @sre down to the local motor factors, spend a few pennies and sort it out yourself!" New fuse holding a full load
  21. Probably its some kid on your circuit is downloading masses of videos from the internet. Either that or your PC has become infected.
