Yes indeed, I am looking to keep one's testiculars in place if possible. Thanks for all of the info. If you happen to be anywhere near the midlands on Sunday, I have a meet on, which you would be most welcomed at. See the midlands events section under "Funky J Xmas Meet Supreme with Trimmings":D

I am contemplating fitting some extra gauges in ye olde mota and was wondering if anyone could recommend a suitable range. I have been told Delfi do some good ones. Currently I've got a Boost gauge on the dash but thinking of getting oil pressure, temp and either ammeter or voltmeter, not sure which would be the most beneficial. I would be good to know if there are any pods which fit in the empty space below where the standard stereo sits? Any recommendations and stockists and prices would be highly useful if poss

First joined VW Vortex back in the day....old skool:cool: Then some madman / genius came up with "Home Of Our Own". I blame Colin and Ian frankly Seriously though, the best fun you can have with your clothes on. If we are going back to basics, I think Freakcrab had the very original VRS which was featured in the Autocar review that everyone will have seen who bought a MK1 VRS. I personally have made some great friends. -

Indicating is a pre-requisite and saves peoples lives and stops confusion. Those that don't do it should be sent back to take their test or taken to one side, have a gun put to their head........oops sorry, just going off on one. I think people who don't thank you or at least acknowledge you for letting them out should be shot and ground down into a fine paste...then be used to line the next road being built. I don't think this is too radical is it, I know I'm very PC.....sorry

I am having to have my engine rebuilt and am just waiting for costs to come back. Has anyone done this recently and if so what sort of costs were incurred. I know I am in for a shock but want to compare prices before I need to get bread and water in time for Xmas dinner Can anyone who has done this fill me in and what needs to be done etc.

I was thinking Red but after thinking about it Green looks the best I reckon. As someone else pointed out Red is VW and pretty common, Green is Skoda only. Green it is then

I'm going to assume that the second picture is at Billing? I remember it well. If you ever see the Midlands Manta bunch (especially Paul Brennecker & Mick & Jackie Maher) tell them Andre says hello. -

How did you manage to get the cad's? Nice touch. The decals you bought from e-bay I am assuming they are copies. I guess the originals would be a bit faded -

How are you copying the livery? Is it from photos or Manta Magic. I alsways liked Austin McHale's livery. I think it was black with Castrol logo's wasn't it? Hope you've got the original ZF dog leg box as well, used to love that in my mate's Ascona 400.
