hello Guys, Lots of good information here, and lots of Friday afternoon Skoda L&Ks. We bought a one year old L&K from Sinclair Skoda ( we had a 170 previously without the sunroof - lovely vehicle) it seemed ok. Went in for a service two months later and then the leaking sun roof issue reared its head. We persevered with Sinclair Skoda Swansea and they replaced the "cassette twice" but it still leaked we approached Skoda UK who and they kept us hanging on ( in the meantime we had Covid and even worse my wife a a bleed on the brain) but to no avail the girl at Skoda kept opening new cases and when various episodes occurred said nicely shall I close the case and you get back to me , Ha Ha this happened several times and I took her at her word at"being helpful". When Covid began to release us I got in contact to be told too late for Skoda to do anything. It seemed to me she was "just churning " the numbers of complaints closed and sorted to make her numbers look good. Sunroof buyers BEWARE sweet talking SKODA agents is all I can say. I am not looking forward to the return of the wet weather and have bought a cover for the Yeti, its a pain but save damaging a good vehicle, as my wife likes her Yeti and she's now able to drive again. Waste of time Skoda customer relations. You would think after all this time over all the various brands they would be able to get this water ingress problem solved.

Just been advised by Sinclair Skoda SWANSEA to park on as level a surface as possible to prevent water leaks on a Yeti Panoramic roof which has had an ongoing issue and Sinclair have tried to repair following Skoda UK advice. Yeti L & K now just 3 years . Skoda UK state Water test ONLY with vehicle on a level surface Though there are lots of posts about the issue on various VW Group forums (over a good few years) and a Class action in USA both the dealers and VW Group have not taken responsibility and owners have been left to sort this problem. Another concern is the water has appeared down the rear view mirror as well as below the fuse box , corrosion in the wiring loom !! If this is in the wrong forum I apologise and would be grateful if it could be moved to the correct area, but the Panoramic roof issue needs to be addressed.

As I reversed up the drive last week water came down from the rear view mirror fixing so I wonder if the windscreen screen is leaking ?? We will see when the car goes in this week!!!!

As you say nice car BUT they can't all be Friday afternoon production cars !!! There must be something wrong on the production line. I wonder if the VW models have the same issue?

Yeti Full Sun Roof Water leaking in on nearside, went in for complete replacement frame and reseal. We now have a leak now on driver side. SHOCK This week after heavy rain water was coming in via rear windscreen mirror mount. Its going in to main dealer in two weeks time so they can have another try to fix it !!

Fabia 3 went in for camshaft belt and water pump change and Hayley managed to get the Yeti in at the same time at short notice to save another journey for us. Yeti outdoor for its second service, all completed and cars returned clean. Good service from Sinclair Skoda no hanging about. Thanks Hayley

booked the octavia vrs in with Simeon for air con top up and new front discs and pads and at the same time friends Yeti 4x4 in for full service. Both vehicles completed on time and both cars washed and vacumed. Thanks Simeon and the mechanics and will see you shortly for MOt and service with the Fabia 1.9.

I was thinking about the weight saving of having a lighter wheel the same size as space saver. Tyre on Outdoor is 225x50x17 and space saver is 195x60x16. Possibility for a wheel with same dimensions as the space saver from within the VAG range any ideas?

Any ideas what stock item may fit please or are we stuck with the steel spare.?

I was about to post a question but thanks to all the above, my question was answered in regard to turning the spare wheel with the inner side upmost to use as storage.It does raise the the boot floor a bit but its not too bad. new 4x4 yeti outdoor

Outdoor was ready and its very very nice, we managed to sneak into the back seat a small Yeti as a surprise for my wife. Brian Thomas took a lot of time explaining the controls on the steering wheel ,ac etc which are a bit different to the previous elegance. We took the Outdoor for a run, had lunch and back to collect the Vrs after its service, car cleaned inside and out. Yeti gleaming nicely in the sunshine today. Well done to the Sales and Service team at Sinclair Skoda during a very busy time of the year. Smiles all round here.

Snow here this morning after the storm force winds last night! Going to Sinclairs this morning to see the new Yeti Outdoor which has arrived and to arrange collection and service of the Octavia Vrs, hopefully both on the same day !!! Mr Thomas has been great keeping us informed along the line .
