  1. Thanks Tell, That's really good info. I'll try this later today. You are a star.
  2. Hi Tell, I have USB-A with the touch screen, no physical buttons, it looks like the attached image. I can update the Nav over an SD card but the Nav data is stored in the unit and not held on a SD card. So is that MIB2 high? Does this unit have RDS-TMC capability? As I mentioned before, the coding in the Karoq is currently 32771. In my Audi the coding was 32783 changed to 32782. So I'm a little confused 🤔. Thanks.
  3. Did the 2018 Karoq Edition (I assume MIB3) use RDS-TMC? I have an older 66 plate Audi and updated the system from Trafficmaster to INRIX. But it's not clear in the Karoq (or in the manual) if traffic data of any kind is used, except that I can sign up to Skoda Connect to get live traffic data. And the 5F coding is 32771, different from 32783 that is recommended here. Any guidance would be much appreciated.
  4. Just in case someone else suffers with this: Our car was recalled for pano roof drain issues and yet still suffered with this common problem. The spare wheel well filled with water, and I started removing trim at the bottom and working my way up... When I got to the roof lining, I found that the pano roof drain tube had a kink in it that blocked the water from draining away. I found a tight-fitting spring that I slid over the pipe that kept the pipe from bending and job done. (Apart from drying out then reassembling the boot trim and wheel well liner.) Hope this helps others with the same problem.
  5. I found an easy way. Remove the storage box from next to the steering wheel. I still haven't found the buzz though.
  6. Just as the title says, my Superb has started to buzz somewhere in the dashboard, quite loudly, at between 2,900 and 3,000 rpm. This has been going on for a couple of months now, and as my replacement car isn't now due to arrive until 2023, I need to fix this. There is a secondary quieter buzz from the same place that started this week, between 3,400 and 3,600 rpm. Any ideas? Is it easy to get the instrument panel out, so I can have a look behind it?
  7. Yep, decades indeed. My 1990 Audi 20v engine used a huge amount of oil for the first 5,000 or so miles.
  8. Update I got an iPhone XR (an older model iPhone) to replace the SE and it works perfectly in both of our Skoda cars.
  9. Skoda Camberley checked the car today and Bluetooth is up to date and working correctly. Every other phone we have tried works just fine on the car (we've tested iPhone 6s & 7, Samsung Galaxy S8 and S20). So I called Apple and to cut a very long story short (with very long wait times and the representatives following a script) it seems that Apple have changed the Bluetooth hardware and subsequent software in the latest generation of phones and blame the car manufacturer for 'not keeping up'. So beware. iPhone 11 and SE 2nd gen Bluetooth won't work with your Superb Mk3.
  10. I'm not sure it's an Apple issue, as the phone works in our Karoq so far.
  11. Thanks Zac, I tried the reset, etc. Car booked in tomorrow. See also:
  12. I have a pretty much the same issue with a new Iphone SE. Bluetooth disconnections and the touch screen not responding. That's why you can't end the call. Did you try calling a number that needs an input, like 'press 1 for blah'? If you have the same issues as me, that won't work either.
  13. It's worth having on the Superb IMHO, however, the sound is very, very bright and took me a while to get used to. I previously had a Volvo S60, and while the Superb is a better car, the Volvo 'premium' sound system is much, much better. Even compared to Canton. We also have a Karoq with Canton. This is so bright and tinny as to be almost unlistenable. My advice for the Karoq is forget Canton and put the money towards a good amplified aftermarket system. Or buy a different car.
  14. I just got a new iPhone SE from work and paired it to the car. Some issues: 1. The Skoda display asks me for a PIN code but then won't accept any pin entry. (If I enter the PIN on the phone it goes away). 2. If you make a call it's impossible to end the call without completely turning the phone off. I haven't tried CarPlay yet as I prefer the Columbus navigation features and the voice control. Anyone else had these issues? Anyone else got an iPhone SE connected to their Superb?
  15. I now have four Michelin Primacy 4 on 18's. These are the best I've had on this car. The factory fit Pirelli P7's were appalling and very noisy, the Hankook Ventus V12 only marginally better.
  16. When I had one new tyre on the front after a non-repairable puncture, the tyre pressure warning went off regularly. It seems that the system doesn't handle 8mm nsf and 4mm osf very well.
  17. I changed the battery in my key fob twice before I realised that I kept the spare key in my laptop bag in the boot....
  18. This was caused by an iPhone update, I believe.
  19. I've found that warranty appears to mean different things at different dealers, including what's covered and for how long. For example, Marshall Group claim that trim issues and associated noises are only covered for three months and yet Camberley Service Centre dealt with the same issues under the standard one year manufacturers warranty.
  20. Just happened to me a few days ago. 5A in the display and the DAB presets gone. I reset the presets manually but the logos are still missing.
