  1. Does this camera get a towbar in shot? Not fussy about flipping the image like the highline camera, just the ability to see it enough to hitch.
  2. When I asked about fitting a towbar on a pre-reg car they said they would send it off to an independent fitter anyway. So the only conclusion I could draw is that if I took it to the same place, they wouldn't have an issue. That is for a genuine westfalia which he suggested was the exact same model as would have been used if it were factory fit.
  3. I have a VRS estate and find it a bit bumpy and boomy at low speeds compared to my other cars. That said the suspension is lower and it's a mildly sporty car so its a compromise.
  4. Seen a few people with coolant loss recently. Skoda at Rochdale suggested it was caused by cold weather and possible air escaping.
  5. On my DSG it changes way sooner and keeps the revs really low. I really only use it in poor weather conditions like ice and snow, otherwise it's just painful.
  6. The guy said to me that the cold weather is the cause of the air releasing. I guess we'll find out.
  7. I love my DSG box. Would never go back to DIY gears.
  8. Just took mine in. They've pressure tested it ok. Topped it up and put it down to trapped air. Guess we'll find out in the next few weeks.
  9. Just had exactly the same issue. 4 weeks owned on a 6 month old car. Not exactly a great start, but at least it's under warranty. I'll get it booked in tomorrow. Most of the reading I've done suggests the water pump. Mine is a 2017 pre facelift.
  10. Only a matter of time before these relay devices can go over data network and they start following people in public and have someone ready to take car. I'm thinking of getting one of these https://www.ghostimmobiliser.co.uk/
  11. When I enquired about the towbar at the local Skoda dealers on my pre-reg car, they said they would just send it to the local towbar fitters? Edit: I rang the fitters in question, and they said they use a westfalia unit that is manufactured for skoda and would use vehicle specific wiring and code the tow bar to use the trailer stability and disable parking sensors etc. The detachable unit is £525 and the fixed unit was £415
  12. This was the photo I sent the wife...
  13. Joined many years ago after looking for information to fix my old TDi Octavia. Had loads of cars since then, including a Vito Brabus (which was a troublesome beast). Sick of having to fix cars so bought a nearly new Octavia VRS Diesel. Absolutely love it! Just a few little jobs to do (dash cam etc), so just looking how everyone has done theirs.
